He is a fraud who beats up on cream puffs that's why he never wanted to fight Floyd. If Floyd, Zoo, Hopkins, or Morales had done the same thing people wouldve killed them. Do you guys remember when Freitas opponent Corrals faught Floyd. He was getting killed and his dad threw in the towel and Chico went crazy and said I deserve to have the right to go out on my back. You should never quit. You either lose or get KO.
First of all these "cream puffs" would send you to hospital hopefully, i just hope they wouldnt send you to the morgue. Freitas has come through more war to finish, so something may have been worng. Fact is you arent in his mind, and you can never know what goes on inside a fighters head, so calling Freitas a ***** makes you irrelevent. Hes a top fighter who did the smart thing. McClellan should have quit earlier.

Who cares if McClellan situation doesnt happen often, it has still happened and fact is McClellan didnt take too much punishment in boxing terms. I mean for ****'s sake 1000s of boxers have taken twice as much punishment as Gerald took in that fight, but look at Gerald's condition. Even Jim Watt was saying stuff like "He could take the punches his heart couldn't"/"He ran out of heart" and when he collapsed Watt said "It definately cant be from the punches hes taken, it must be due to exhaustion". Benn took harder punches in that fight than McClellan.

You obese, fat sweaty armchair wankers should take a shower, and then get it out of your head that disrespecting fighters makes you better it doesnt. Also stop wanking.

The abiltiy to take a punch, or an accumulation of punches is not only about heart, it is pasrtially genetic.

Also, I keep hearing that guys with one-punch knockout power often will hang around in a fight that they are losing with the hopes that one punch can chaneg the fight.

In the Freitas Coralles fight, Fretas knew he was not going to un and called it a day.

In the Corrales Mayweather fight, Corrales always believed he could knock out Mayweather and he never gave up home. Also, it was partially his shakey balance that led to him getting knocked down without getting hurt.

Sometimes people just quit you know. I didnt call him a *****. A man should never call another man a *****.

You really think that after the fifth knockdown Corrales still thaught he could KO Mayweather? The guy was clearly dominated and all punchers chance had gone out the window

I don't like the fact that Freitas quit, but I don't hold it against him too much. I think he could have kept fighting, but he knows whats best for his own health. Joe Fraiser quit on his stool against ALI.....I don't see too many people describing him as a quitter. The difference is, Fraiser went on to fight another day. If Freitas can regroup and get back whats his, or at least fight like he wants it; I think he can live this down.

How does Freitas get back into the spotlight? Stop fighting the way he has been. Ever since he fought Attha, he has been bobbing and weaving like he is a slick boxer. He can box well, but his stregnth has always been punching and overwhelming his opponents with pressure. He has gone away from what he was excellent at and has adopted what he is only good at. He needs to go back to his roots and start fighting more and box less. He needs to fight like he is hungry, after his loss to Diego, he might be....at least I hope he is.

I think that night he was definitely Corrales's *****. I also think that he showed a complete and utter lack of what it takes to be a champion by quitting on his feet like that.

Some people might call it a wrong decision to go on fighting, but isn't that what we pay him for? If a fireman ran into a burning building to save a kid, he would be a hero. If he refused because he might get hurt, then he gets fired. The same parallel can be drawn here. If Freitas had gone on fighting and gotten beaten, we would have applauded his brave effort. He didn't, and he knows how brutal the boxing world can be outside the ring, so he deserves any **** he takes for quittig on his feet. If you don't believe me that this will haunt him for the rest of his career, ask Vitaly.

Consequently, I had a side-bet with my girlfriend and I had Corrales. Thanks Popo, you gave me a night to remember

Finally someone who makes some sense. He is a fighter and he quit because he knew he was going to lose or get KO. That is the worst thing any fighter can do, and for all of you to try to justify that then your just plain ******. What if that happened all the time? Would you like boxing then? What if Marquez wouldve quit after PacMan dropped three times in the first?

                    Bodysnatcherfan,

I would like to respectfully disagree with your assessment. I'm not calling you out or saying your ****** or anything, I'm just saying I disagree with you.

We (the fans) pay these guys to fight. We want to see fighting- we want to ride the emotional rollercoaster of a guy who has to dig and hurt and absorb and hurt and then hurt the other guy. We do not want to see frontrunners. If these guys fight, they will usually be respected, win or lose. The object often is not winnning so much as standing and enduring the challenge of the other guy; trying right back, refusing to quit, etc. etc. Fans want to see that.

You are absolutely right- if a fighter is scared that he is going to get hurt, he should quit....boxing altogether. Once he steps into the ring, he's locked in as far as reputation goes. After all, he will get the glory if he wins and glory is defined as success through fire. Take the fire. If not, quit, but live with the consequences... Freitas will.

Freitas gets all the glory from being a good fighter. He is damn near a god in Brazil. He is wildly rich, screws all the hot girls (marriage smarriage), and lives in luxury. THE LEAST HE CAN DO IF FIGHT!, NOT FRONTRUN! He decided to quit and when he did that he cheated all of the fans who have bought the houses, women and luxury for him to enjoy.

Was Freitas' choice valid? Certainly. Was it professional? Maybe. Prudent? Probably as Corrales was likely to lay some more as kicking on him. The behavior of a fighter? Hardly. Does he have to live with that? You betcha.

But I see your side of it as well. I would also like to note that I am not fat, sweaty, or wanking. I also take showers daily. Thanks for the debate....
