Who is more overrated - Duran or Chavez???

      Didn't Duran made more money then Ray in the first fight. I think he did, yes Ray became the CASH COW after the Duran fights. After beating 2 legends like Benitiz & Duran anyone will become a CASH COW. How old were you during the first Ray/Duran fight???

        I will guarantee you that Ray Leonard made more money for that fight, & also guarantee you that he was making more money BEFORE he was champ than Duran made for TITLE DEFENSES.

        Leonard made 40K for his PRO DEBUT !

          You were a little kid just like me so what you know. I bet I was bigger boxing fan then you, you probably were playing with your Atari 2600. Boxing was my hobby & love. I boxed since the age of 5. I know who was the Tyson of that time. it was that little man Duran. I really don't care about your money argument, I know who was the bigger name at that time. Sugar Ray became the man after he beat Benitiz & Duran, that is the fact.

                  Chavez by a two football feilds lenght, Duran was a true warrior and never needed gifts to be considered great.

                    Jesus, I keep CITING things that are facts. Like Leonard's take for his first pro fight.....his network television appearances...
                    his Gold Medal success...his capturing of the public imagination.
                    All you keep saying is "But the boxing ****zines knew Duran was better."....as if that has ANYTHING to do with who was the cash cow & media darling.
                    Going by your logic...Diego Corrales & Jose Luis Castillo are better-known & better-paid fighters than Wlad Klitschko....because, c'mon, we fight fans know they're better.
