Look at Juan Diaz, he got punched by punchers yet took them and kept coming until JMM. When his punch resistance was shot he got dropped by Paulie who can't punch through a paper bag... For Hatton to win damn near every round against Paulie, showed that Hatton was still the man or an elite JWW. Maybe, not ready for Pac? OK but what other JWW would you have ranked ahead of Hatton at that time? The only one you could make a case for would have been Bradley. But, even when Pac-Hatton got signed Bradley hadn't even beaten Holt. So Bradley resume was pretty thin only a win over Witter at the time.

So I don't see your issue with the Pac-Hatton nor do I see with the Pac-Cotto fight. And, even though Oscar wasn't coming off an impressive win and fighting at WW. Pac was a pretty big underdog in that fight and it seemed like a mismatch in Oscar favor. To turn around after the fact and not give Pac credit for that win then is bogus IMO.

I get the disgust for the Marg fight, It is a ridiculous fight at a catch-weight for a vacant belt that neither deserves. The Oscar, Cotto, and Hatton fight not so much. Unless you really want to nitpick however I can nitpick a lot of fighters HOF or ATG careers.
I think we are getting off tangent here. the original point was that pac doesnt fight guys coming off impressive wins. No matter how you try to play it the junior welterweight champion beating paulie is not impressive. Keep in mind this is the champ im talkin about. If anyone rated 5-10 in that division beat paulie then that might be impressive. If hatton sparked him out in a round that might have been impressive. But him getting a bs stoppage in the 11th round was not impressive. I didnt leave that fight thinkin "ohh hatton will give pac a good fight. "

The Cotto fight im using as an example. I dont have a problem with that fight but i want to show that it follows the same pattern. After you saw cotto struggle with clottey did you think he would give pac a good fight. I didnt. Manny and roach saw what i saw; a fading figher with a good name so they took it.

He's at the end of his career, is a senator in his home country, and has had success 99% of boxers can only dream of. Of course he is milking his past success now, but hey he's earned it.

Still, f**k Pac if Mayweather is ready to fight and it doesn't happen. If the Mayweather fight doesn't happen, then Pac should probably just retire.

without the OST from the first first nego, do you think the fight would have pushed thrU??
You cant blame 1 and not the other. it has been proven that pac ducked the first negotiation and mayweather the second. They are both at fault. but this article nor topic is about floyd so why bring him up? Cause you have nothing else relevant on topic to say?

I have never blamed just one guy, I know for a fact that both dumba$$es share the blame for the fight not happening. You got on here accusing Mayweather of not fighting PAC, when in fact both fighters share the blame.

You're right the fight would have happened without the OST, but PAC demanded things and PBF agree to them, why couldn't PAC return the favor and agree to his OST demand?

This was part of you're post:

No offense to pac but thats probably not gonna happen. Pac fans dont like to hear this but the truth is Pac doesnt wanna fight anyone who is coming off an impressive win.

So Pac didn't want to fight Floyd Maynever? the one who went on a vacation?

Some fights just take stuff out of you. 2005 Hatton would've bludgeoned the "Hispanic causing Panic" I love that name.
Really like that nickname as well.... One of my favorites along with Michael "second to" Nunn....

But, after Hatton beat Paulie he was seen as a top JWW again. There were really no other JWWs you could have ranked ahead of him at the time in that division. Maybe Bradley but when the fight was signed Bradley still hadn't beaten Holt yet.

Granted the division was weak back then, is more deep now. But, at that time Hatton was at the top at worst the 2nd best dude in the division. Besides a third fight with JMM the Hatton was looked as the logical choice.

Yeah, I don't knock him for fighting Hatton. At all. I would've preferred Marquez but...whatevs. What's he's done in 2010 is just wack.
