Comments Thread For: Vitali Klitschko: Haye, Not Enough Speed or Power To Win

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko appeared on the Ringside program with Ed Robinson to discuss his upcoming title defense against Shannon Briggs on October 16 in Hamburg, Germany. During the interview, he was asked about his British rival, WBA champion David Haye. Vitali still views Haye as a fighter who is running from the Klitschko challenge.

David Haye will never be brave enough to step in the ring with a Klitschko.

He'll continue to fight old, harmless opponents like Ruiz and Harrison.

I don't recall saying anything to the contrary. I wouldn't cross the street to see either fight, although I am hoping for Briggs and Harrison to both win by big KO

Difference is, Vitali is old himself, OLDER THAN BRIGGS, NOT IN HIS PRIME LIKE HAYE.

And Vitali tried to get a fight with Haye, who is afraid of him.

Briggs is a dangerous puncher and a two-time world champion, not harmless like Audley, who lost last year to Belfast taxi driver Martin Rogan.

And HARRISON IS OLDER THAN BRIGGS.

Briggs hasn't been relevant for years, and the fact Vitali is older than Briggs means nothing. Lewis was older than Tyson and Holyfield, but nobody ever mentions that, only that he fought them when their best days had long since gone.

As for Haye, the guy is a clown. He never intended to fight either Klitschko, he just used them for cheap publicity to raise his profile as he was still relatively anonymous in the UK despite his sucess as CW.

The FACT remains that both of these fights are a joke bro.

Who should Vitali have fought instead?

To be fair, the klits have fought some dog **** fights in the past 3/4 years. But they also have fought some decent fights, I just hope that a Haye-Klit fight will happen next year. I think it willdue to the money they can make for it
