Dude I'm not knocking the dude because he's Dominican, I'm knocking the dude because he doesn't take the sport serious enough to come in shape and he's made this blunder repeatedly.

You realize there are countless contenders right now as we speak who are just looking for that one shot at glory and may never get it?

And then we some fool like Guzman who get's these multiple chances at glory to redeem himself only to screw up all over again.

It's an insult to the contenders who legitimately make weight, train, and give it their all in the ring.

So please don't say we don't have the right to dog him.

well unless you can jsut walk into a boxing ring and say hey lets fight it dont work like that. he had problems with management and training. you know you dont wake up run n train and fight when your pro its a buisness not jsut for you but people handling you. no different from a singer pop star who career is **** because they had bad management

I feel the same way about Chris Arreola by the way, who knows what he could have been if he just took his training serious enough to one day beat the heavyweight elite.

For one that comment wasn't directed towards you, but I think he took the sport serious enough to have 200+ amateur fights and win belts in 2 different divisions. People have problems his mother passed and it affected him as it would affect anyone with a heart. You don't have to believe the testosterone issue, but you cant just shut it down without knowing anything about it. Its very common and its the same reason that James Toney has had trouble losing weight in his later career.

Overall, Guzman is a skilled fighter whos made some mistakes Mayweather didnt come in at the right weight for Marquez I dont see people still dogging him about it. **** happens its not your life anyways, those contenders you speak about, if they really are that outstanding someone would notice, its called State Tourneys and National Tournaments. Theres several ways to gain exposure it just depends on what your willing to go through to get it.

Reminds me of the street ball excuses.."Sun was in my eye when I missed that shot, My shoe was untied, I had the runs, My dog died, I was sick yesterday, ohhh look at the time, your lucky I have to go now"

First off, James Toney was NOTORIOUS for blowing up in between fights and even boasted he never did road work (still a great fighter though) therefore your testosterone argument is a mute point.

Second, nobody is dis*****g his skill level (at least I'm not) but if you want to compete with the elite your skill level in the ring has to be as discipline as your work ethic outside of it. That means no gorging at all you can eat buffets and looking for excuses that he didn't make weight repeatedly.

Third, from the look at your post output you are still relatively new around here because Floyd caught some MAJOR heat for not coming in on weight, if you don't believe me just look at the message board history of this site.

Fourth, I'm not just stating contenders who compete at State Tourneys and National Tournaments, I am referring to pro fighters as well who aren't given the same exposure as this fool you seem to make excuses for.

                    Anything else?
