I still bet none of you sofa warriors would step up to guzman even if he weighed in at 175. Didnt Gamboa just fight someone who had 10 losses as well? I didnt see anyone but ricans talking down about that but thats expected. Hes stepping up in weight against an opponent thats been in their with other 140 lbers who have done well. I think its a good match up and it will show what Guzman has left. Id personally love to see Guzman vs Bradley or Guzman vs Maidana.
Yeah right, just like Fernando Vargas had a anemia problem when he couldn't make weight in the initial agreed upon weight stipulation against Mayorga.

Regardless theres nothing to defend Guzman is still a world class fighter probably the best to come out of the Dominican Republic and some blogger bashing him is plain funny to me whats your professional boxing record bro?

Listen everybody deserves a break but this dude didnt fight often enough even before he started F***ing up....then he didnt make weight against Nate, Then he fights some Bum in his own country with 7 losses, comes back and robs Funeka and then DOESNT MAKE WEIGHT again against FUNEKA and beats him(by HAIR SPLIT decision) NOW he fights a bum with TEN losses that lost his last three....No more "maybes", "If", "Could of", "talent"...enough is enough...fighting separates the men from the *****es and he aint fighting much.

Co-sign, this man has been given so many chances to redeem himself only to make the same mistakes over and over again.

The only thing that makes sense is that Guzman is the very best the Dominican republic EVER produced..That says it all right there.

Just like the Jamaican bob sled team that went to the Olympics...they were the best Bobsled team to come from Jamaica...lol

Lol why the **** you care about what he does anyways dude hes trying to continue on with his career let him be. Funeka also tested positive for Diuretics in the second fight so what makes him any better? Guzman is a two division champ and doesnt back down from anyone. Hes not my favorite boxer no where close, but I still think he deserves respect because his amateur and professional record speak for itself.

Seriously..Every time Guzman messes up..one or two Dominicans come in here and says.."He is so talented", "If", "Suppose","maybe", ...Talent is measured against other good or great fighters WHO ACTUALLY FIGHT!

Talent is also measured by fighters who take the sport serious enough to come in shape and make weight.

I feel the same way about Chris Arreola by the way, who knows what he could have been if he just took his training serious enough to one day beat the heavyweight elite.
