RabbitPunchBoxing.com just learned from a member of the Mayweather camp that Acelino Freitas just turned down $2 million dollars to move up to 140 lbs. and fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. on November 12. Freitas gave the excuse that he is trying to fight the winner of the IBF Lightweight title fight between Levander Johnson and Jesus Chavez on September 17th. If Freitas can't get the winner then he will try to fight WBA Lightweight champion Juan Diaz later this year possibly in November or December.

Freitas don't want no problems.
If Mayweather is looking for a fight that can easily be made he should look towards Mausa's direction. It would be a good unification fight.

I agree it's a bad matchup for Freitas but it would be better if he got beat by the best in boxing rather than possibly lose to a lesser name. Not to mention he would get the biggest payday of his career and he get mad respect for stepping up in weight to take on Floyd. After the way he quit against Corrales, he needs to do something to get his reputation back.

Props to Floyd for trying to make a fight against someone with a pulse.
He may as well just pull a Judah and fight a mandatory.

Floyd vs. Hatton is the fight we need at 140. Anything else is BS.
