My father was born and raised in the Philippines - It was strictly forbidden in his home to associate with anyone that ate Dog... He told me that his father would literally beat his ass if he ever found out that he even was at someones house eating dog. People would set up traps and shoot arrows with ropes tied to them trying to steal peoples pets and eat them.. It was considered an extremely low class and primarily only the poverty stricken areas were known for it..

Dog is not a delicasse nor was it something the more sophisticated Filipino culture was accepting of...

It is an extremely offensive and derogatory statement and it was intended as such... So f-ck PBF for even saying it!!!

Thanks for the spelling correction. But your last point is completely insane. Saying he is going to make Manny eat cats and dogs is offensive to Manny not to all filipinos.

By your own admission, poor filipinos (like Manny was when young) eat dog. If this is true, rich and middle class filipinos can't then be offended.
