    Could Khan-Guzman be a possibility?

I've been thinking for the past week, "Who the hell could Khan possibly fight if he decides not to fight Maidana?". Bradley and Alexander are fighting eachother, he already beat Kotelnik, Juan Urango hits just as hard as Maidana, possibly harder and is Alexander's leftovers, Mabuza wouldn't make any sense because he's unknown and got lucky to catch Holt while he was severely weight drained, he already beat Malignaggi, Peterson is with Top Rank, Ortiz and Harris are fighting and Judah also has a fight scheduled. So who would be left?

Then Joan Guzman came to my mind. He's returning at JWW, and both are with Golden Boy. He never was a huge puncher, so that wouldn't be a problem. And he's actually a very good fighter. Does anyone see this as a possibility? I'm sure GBP could get HBO to let Guzman back on.

Look for Khan to go for Casamayor.

      If not Maidana,

Urango or Mabuza...Khan taking on either of those would satisfy me for his next fight.

As much as I don't support Khan's decisions, I highly doubt he'd fight Casamayor right now. Definitely before the Casamayor-Guerrero fight happened, but its not very likely anymore. Khan would seriously KO him before the 1:30 mark in the first round. It would look like the Salita fight, only Casa wouldn't take the punches as well as Salita did (and he didn't take them very well at all). He would lose a lot of respect, and HBO would probably demand that he fights Maidana or the Alexander-Bradley winner next year or else they won't show him anymore.

He seems to fit the bill tbf. I really don't know though. Is Guerrero a possibility?

I can see it, but I doubt it.

Khan's minimum is over a million dollars, HBO won't let him fight just anyone. GBP wants to keep Khan in house for the time being, so if he happens not to pan out it won't be against a non GBP fighter.

Khan realistically has 4 options Maidana, Ortiz (his fight is in September, the Khan fight is for October), Guzman, and Guerrero (long shot).

I don't see HBO paying Khan his hefty minimum unless it's against Maidana or Ortiz. I don't think GBP wants to X out 1 of their popular prospects and potential stars so soon, that would be ******.

Khan will be facing Marcos Maidana. Freddie Roach will advise GBP to keep Khan away from Guzman. And I see Alexander or Bradley getting stripped or having an interim title put up by 1 of the corrupt organizations and Ortiz facing someone for a vacant title.

Probably. I believe Guerrero wants to stay at LW, but I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped at the opportunity to fight Khan. That would be a ****** career choice though, because he has a great opportunity to become a champion at 135, but not so much against Amir Khan.

Urango is a recent Alexander opponent and a live guy, Khan fighting him is no different to Alexander fighting Kotelik (who Khan beat).

I just want to see Khan face a variety of tests, both Urango and Mabuza represent something we haven't seen Khan face yet.

I don't think anyone involved will be up for making Khan-Ortiz, factor in the time it takes to negotiate that one and there's only 2 months for the guys to to prepare and for the fight to be built up...can't see it.
