I'll be disgusted if this fight is made. Especially at HBO if they buy it.

Wiki said Berto has 5' 6'' (168cm) and Boxrec said 5' 8.5'' (174 cm)... I think if Berto has 5' 8.5'' with that musculature, he are not be a Welter, so i think he is smaller. Guzman have 5' 7'', but really look 5'6.5'' because his style. So i think both figther are very very Strong fisically and has similar size and hand speed. The power department is for Berto by a wide advantage but Guzman has Better boxing, skill and mobility. I see a figth very entertained with a lot pounches also a Guzman trying to use his defensive skills for make look silly to Berto but maybe that not work so like the pass because Berto has a lot of hand speed.

My conclusion: If Guzman can take Berto pounch and also keep freesh stamina i see hin win a no problem UD. But if he look tired after 6 o 7, i can see a late KO for Beto win.

I hope Guzman can make the best of this if its true but IDk about him at WW.

He didn't seem to really have much pop at LW even.

Nope. He was supposed to fight Casamayor, but HBO didn't want him on the card because of his weight issues, so they put Guererro on instead. At least we can say for sure that if he tries to come overweight this time, he'd lose a lot of his abilities so its safe to say that he'll make the limit.

Berto could have did better than this though...Although if Guzman holds the extra 10lbs against a WW effectively, then this could be competitive. Still a ****** decision on Berto's part. He has nothing to gain but everything to lose, and Guzman has everything to gain but nothing to lose, even if he's undefeated. And like you said, another friggen smaller fighter?

I just can't see why Guzman gets to fight in a welterweight championship against Berto!!

Exactly, I hope Guzman schools this hypejob and he could, he has the skills to not to mention him being very awkward but I am worried about him getting manhandled by the bigger stronger Berto.

Guzman is a lightweight. He should not even be at 140.

How are Guzman and Victor Ortiz in the same weight class?

That'd be hilarious if he came in overweight and beat Berto.

He's started off at JFW. Moving up two weight classes is nothing abnormal. Most fighters do that, especially when they're his age.

However 147 is a different story. He does not belong there. And imagine if for some strange reason he won...R.I.P. to the WW division,,.

                    This fight sucks ass...

I made a thread about him being able to easily out point Jan Zaveck for his IBF WW title and I stand by that view.
