Comments Thread For: Bradley-Alexander Deal Could Be Signed Next Week

According to promoter Gary Shaw, a deal for a junior welterweight unification between Timothy Bradley and Devon Alexander could be signed by next week. Shaw plans to meet with HBO next week to discuss the financial details. Alexander's promoter, Don King, is likely to attend the meeting. The network has been pushing for the fight. If a deal is reached next week, HBO wants to televise the fight on January 29.

I thought Bradley wanted to let the fight build up? I like that this fight is being made but i dont get how after Alexander looks as bad as he did this fight is at its most anticipated point. Bradley in my opinion doesnt look good in this situation its almost like he sees the weakness in Alexander now and thinks it a little safer to make the fight.

Its a good thing if it happens but the allure is diminished a bit now.

Good to hear, hopefully If angulo is still slated to be put on as a cofeature, they put him with someone that is a LIVE dog, rather than the yorgeys or the alcines of the 154 class.put him in with sergei dzindzirik, maybe a ishe smith or even a angulo/cintron 2 so he can try to get payback.

                    Come on guys.....

I've been listening to folks rant how Devon was the best at 140 for months.

Many punters had Devon skinning Bradley.

The way I see it..... the Alexander/Bradley fight was brewing anyway, so it's good that Devon got tested beforehand, and it has highlighted a couple of things that he needs to work on.

                    Better that he knows now.

Kotelnik was under-rated, and Devon got caught a little short on the night.

I can't wait for this fight.

And you are crazy if you think that Khan is ready for Bradley.
