whatever happened to the froch controversy?

i remember he was bitching about not wanting to fight abraham in germany. (***** ass froch)

do you know where the fight is gonna be?

they're fighting in Monaco, I think Ward and Dirrell are going to end up fighting in some neutral site for their match as well

I like single elimination. The fighters would be up for each fight as much as possible, and wouldn't have to worry about the next 3 years of their career being used up on the same opponents.

To me, it is a sign that he cares about his fighters.
        their success is his also.

        makes sense though.

say you get ktfo in the 1st round.

proper thing to do is to take a tuneup or two to build up your confidence again and make adjustments to your game/style/training.

in the round robin type , you get ktfo your next fight will be against another tough opponent.

Arum will keep both away from Moreno.

Now if they set it up so any fighter knocked out was eliminated from the tourney, but decision losses were allowed to continue, I bet he would agree.

Not to suck my own **** but I was saying this the other day. All showtime has to do is weight till January and this thing can pop off. I really wish is was two loss elimation but ohh well....its better than nothing.

anyway here is the tourney set up

                Bracket 1
1 seed Montiel vs 8 seed Agbecko
5 seed Perez vs 6 seed Darchinyan

                Bracket 2
2 seed Mares vs 7 seed Moreno
3 seed Hasegawa vs 4 seed Donaire

BTW these aren't rankings per say, just a way to organize it.

If I had it my way and it was double elimination then the losers in both brackect face off, while the winners fight each other.

so to give a quick scenario, lets say the folllowing happens:
Montiel beats Agbecko, and Darchinyan upsets Perez. Both Agbecko and Perez have losses, face each other and the loser is elimated. Meanwhile Montiel faces Darchinyan, beats him and since Darchinyan would be 1-1 and Perez would be 1-1, they would fight next and the loser is elimated. Montiel, who just won, would be rewarded with a bye or could face the winner (2-0 fighter) from bracket #2.

This way this thing would take at most a year and a half, but also insures the fighters that one losses isn't the end of world as far as their stay in the tourney.

They have to get rid of Agbeko and Darch.

Bute is not in the S6 and thats bad enough. Drop those 2 ASAP and let Moreno and Hasegawa in.

So we can have NO doubt as to who the best 118 pounder is. Hasegawa already said hes ready to come stateside and Moreno would kill for an oppurtunity like this so lets do it.

Or if Hasegawa is still reeling from his surgery on his jaw let Darch and Agbeko fight to get in the tourney and give Moreno an automatic bid.

FWIW they will never get the green light for a round robin, but while Arum is pushing for a single eliminator...I truly thing showtime can push for a double eliminator as this will be the perfect middle ground between the two.

Agbeko already beat his him once.

                      A rematch is unnecessary.

                      Just let King Kong in.
