First off he didn't get schooled. The fight was was 3 to 1 in favor of Jacobs. Secondly, you aren't out cold when you are screaming at the ref at the count of 4! Pirog landed a shot that you wouldn't of recovered from but you do not end a fight because the hunch is this guy was not moving for 3 seconds. Dude was yelling and had obviously collected his composure, let him fight.

but see, that's just guessing on the ref's part. ref should have let him try to get up and watch carefully. if he has trouble getting to his feet, then stop it. he had enough lucidity to complain to the ref.

Pirog probably would of ended up winning the fight but that was an awful stoppage. Jacobs was hurt but clearly regained his composure and would of beat the count. You don't end a fight like that just on a hunch that he wouldn't beat the count, especially when the fighter that went down had won 3 of the first 4 rounds. That was an awful job by Robert Bryd.
