So what? Mosley is Mosley, a powerful Welterweight. Not destroyed by a bum.

Still doesn't take away from my main point, years ago a former Flyweight facing a career-long welterweight with a granite chin, great conditioning and workrate like Margarito was considered insane.

Why knock that because Margarito lost? Delahoya got KO'd by Hopkins 2 fights ago, before Floyd fought him. Was criticizing Floyd facing Delahoya, who was only on a one-fight win streak fair? I don't think so, it was still a good matchup and while Delahoya wasn't considered prime, Floyd deserved credit for it. New weight class, size disadvantage etc,. Same really applies to this fight IMO.

      Pac.

But they were just "names" at that point. Kind of like Marciano and Lewis with how some of their opponents were. Or Tyson vs. Holmes. Or many others that have done it.

Morales, MAB, JMM...at those divisions...aren't going to beat Floyd when he was back down there. If anything, no way does a past prime Morales beat him like he did Pac.

Not saying Floyd hasn't picked. He has.
Floyd never loses a fantasy match lol

Mosley was force fed....................Pacs cherrypicked was LW diaz.......do i consider this a cherry pick by team PAC hell yeah.............but fighting once a year is a worse bitchmove by anyone.......at this point...............after all the thrashtalk...................FACT IS no one comes close to mayweather cherrypicking/avoiding/ducking fighters........................NO ONE......
Not when Hatton REFUSED to fight Floyd at 140. Floyd moved up because Hatton didn't want to fight him. If anything, what woke Hatton up is seeing Floyd's fight with Oscar where he didn't look quite as good anymore. Always thought that's where his balls grew. Other than that, he just used Floyd's name to promote his fights.

Oh, and for the weight, 147 is actually the better fight. I've said it many times before, in this sport where fighters have to drain themselves to make weight for the scales, but then blow-up in weight by fight-time, a fight in a division closer to your actual fight-time weight is better. Which would make 147, a better fight because it ensures a greater chance for both to be healthy and less risk of rehydrating improperly.

Hatton doesn't fight at 140 on fight-night. Closer to 149+
And given at that time that is around the same weight Floyd was fighting at on fight-night, 147-149, that's great for both. Less weight to take off for the scales.
Hatton was undefeated at that point as well. Won a title at 147.

Floyd fought Mosley while Pac ducked him.

JMM: true, he cherry-picked him but there was at least a better reason for it. To get back at Pac for cherry-picking his left-overs. Not saying I was for it but I understood it. He wanted those numbers to compare to Pac and wanted to out-do Pac in the win. Still not a fight I was in favor of.

Either way, both can be ripped.

I don't mind a guy equally lashing out and ****ting on both P4P fighters, or a guy equally praising them both.

But when I see a guy who is a hater or a fan of one of them, doing revisionist history and putting a negative spin to every big win of theirs, I can see my IQ drop. Those debates are boring and time-draining.

But still destroyed already so you are going to get what's left of him which means, that's not the same Margarito.

But years ago the fight didn't happen. He is only fighting him now because Margarito was softened up.

Oscar wasn't picked apart and destroyed. He got taken down by a a single body-shot. That's not the same as getting pulverized from round 1 and getting taken out by body and HEAD shots. Margarito didn't even put up a good fight against Shane. Shane just beat the living **** out of him.

No, it's bad. It's just that people are kinder to Pac because of the way he is and/or portrayed in front of the cameras...and they rip Floyd because of the way he is and/or portrayed in front of the cameras.

Pac didn't fight the best guy at 135, 140, and 147.

Floyd fought the best guy at 135, wanted to fight the lineal Champion Hatton at 140 but Hatton refused (even though that fight would later come off), and at 147, yeah...he fought the lineal belt holder but here I rip him for not fighting the best.

Pac fights Cotto after he looks bad and has been KO'd. There were better fights at 147 to be made.

He fights Margarito after he looks bad and has been KO'd. There are better fights to be made.

He fights Hatton after he looks bad and has been KO'd. There were better fights to be made.

He fights Morales after he loses to Raheem and has to come back down in weight.

                    He fights Diaz.

at 135 didn't fight the best. after this fight he jumped on an opportunity to fight de la hoya at welterweight.

at 140 Hatton was still the best and just put on awesome performance against paulie. I dont think Alexander had a title yet and Bradley just barely won the belt. Maidana isn't heard of and Ortiz is still being brought up. So Pa fought the best at the time at 140 and hit Hatton with a shot that would of knocked out a middleweight.

at 147 Pacquiao fought 2 of the top 5 welterweights in the world. Cotto and Clottey. Cotto just had and ugly win against Clottey, but who has looked good beating Clottey????? Plus Cotto had a arguement for being the number 1 welterweight at the time because h had a win over Mosley after Mosley knocked Margarito's head off. Clottey is a top 5 welterweight ex. champ who has close losses to Margarito and Cotto.
