Im sorry but neither Berto or Bradley deserve a shot at pacquiao...they havent beaten or faced anyone to be up there...not saying it wouldnt be a nice fight with either one..but just that they arent up there yet...no name as far as the $$ goes for either of them.

And PWill needs to stop fronting like he's being ducked by pac..dude ur fighting at 154-160..and pac is supposed to have u in his radar? might as well have pavlik or bhop on his radar too..just ******..if he wanted pac that bad..he shouldve stayed at 147..

and the only reason he moved up two weight classes is because everyone was ducking him at welterweight. You can't make no money in a division where no one no longer wants to fight you.

What's so crazy about him fighting pac, if he sayshe can make the weight, why not fight him. It would a more exciting fight than Plasterito, who is barely a step above a tomato can. He took a serious beating against Mosley and looked exactly the same way Cotto did against him. Funny how karma works.

Even if PW stayed at WW, Pac wouldn't have considered him as a serious opponent. He wouldn't even go after on one of the feather fisted of the jr MW's in Foreman because of the height factor. He doesn't like giving away such an advantage.

The only reason he's going to fight tall margarito is because he knows he can run circles around him and basically tag him at will. Plaster didn't look good against some bum in Mexico and he's moving up to the speedier Pac. Another ass whooping lined up for margs, but the plaster-less bum is willing to take it for the $$$. One last career pay day before retirement It's an easy belt for Pac. That's enough reason for them to fight marg first. It doesn't hurt getting the OK from Freddie

P.S. I know this thread is about pac/possible opponents but I remember Floyd giving a then undefeated 5"10 1/2 Corrales who was also a KO puncher and dismantling him the whole fight. Some boxing "fans" still fail to give him credit for it, even though he was the underdog going into the fight.

Arum is full of **** and I hate his nonsense in house crap. Pac should be fighting Williams, that would be an amazing fight.

You can't make the excuse no one knows who Williams is either... especially not if you're defending Margarito as a choice of opponent.... every Margarito fan knows who Williams is!!!

They could do some awesome marketing for that fight and people, even casual fans would pay to see that fight. 5'6" speedier, compact version of Hagler against a 6'1" lanky, volume punching version of Hearns.

It could be a modern day re-creation of that classic fight. That right there is worthy of being on a Time Life ****zine cover. If they did it right, it could be huge but they won't touch that fight because it poses too much of a risk.

I respect both Floyd/Pac for their skills and unique styles of fighting. They both are the two greatest of this era and I choose to be appreciative (not hate) of both for their fight skills because they're two rare fighters. and they won't be around for much longer.

Goosen is right...Bob should match-up Pac...

...against Berto or Bradley at least. PW although, I am fan of Paul, he should move up in weight class and fight boxers his size. Pwill against Pman will definitely look like a circus act. Pac vs. Tim/Berto will generate more revenue and elevate boxing to new heights. These three fighters are definitely the top three based on their will to slug it out and win.
The way I look at Bob's perspective and future plans, he views those two fighters as too much of a risk for Pac, business wise, which I totally understand. Bob still wants to set up the fight with Jr, which I doubt will ever happen(still hoping though). What Bob doesn't know is Pac is actually quicker than he thinks, and a fight with Tim and Berto will be tough but Pac will beat those two guys just the way Pac beat Cotto and Clottey.
Berto can punch and can keep-up with Pac when it comes to stamina but he is not as quick as Pac. Berto sets up his power punches and very effective against his previous opponents but it will not work right away against Pac and I doubt Berto will engage Pac to get a knock out, too risky. Manny uses a lot of combinations and by the time Berto unleashes his power punches Pac will no longer be there, Pac moves away awkwardly to the left or to the right. Pac brings fear and a lot of pressure inside the ring.
I doubt Pac can KO Berto but a TKO is what we will see if ever these two great fighters meet. I give KO victory for Berto if he will win but that's a long,long shot!

Against Tim, after watching his last four fights, Manny will just toy with Tim, he's more like Berto but without power. His skills mmay give him the win but only if he can catch Pac..
Both fight will be good to watch. Bob is becoming too greedy as he age, nothing wrong with that but he is also getting blinded by his intentions to get a fight with Jr.
Pac has nothing more to gain against Cotto/Marg, but money, and Pac has a lot to lose, specially respect of the boxing fans.
For Bob, it is a win-win situation but for his boxer, it is pretty much lose-lose situation. Money will not stick to you forever but history will.

As for Jr..he may be scared of Pac but he definitely knows how to play promoters.

A Mayweather/Pacquiao fight will go down later next year. If you don't know why Floyd did what he did, then you need to wisen up and start opening up your mind to the most practical of reasons why he chose to put it off (not: he's scared of Pac, he's waiting for Pac to get old from the "wars" etc,

Because the last war Manny was in was the Marquez rematch. Every fighter since then has been basically a cake walk for Pac.
And fighting tomato can Plasterito and a not ready Cotto is no different.
They won't put up much of a fight for long

I don't think Bradley would fair well against Paq but Berto would.

Andre Berto vs Paq would be a fire fight flat out. Berto's fast enough to keep up with Paq and big enough.

Berto vs Paq is hands down the biggest fight to be made outside of Paq vs May. Given each of their styles of fighting its a BIGGER fight than Paq vs May.

Paq vs May would probably be kind of dull thanks to Floyd. But a fight with Berto would be a flat out war. I cant understand why people aren't demanding this fight just as much as a fight with Floyd if not more.
