NO. But do you think that is going to affect anything going forward. manny wasn't called a cowrad last time. He went on ESPN they talked up the fight and how clottey was a tough big ww and the fight was in Cowboys stadium. Didn't affect sales one bit.

It doesn't matter if Wilbon labels floyd a coward or ducker if the buying public ignores him and spends their money on floyd.

Clottey is a tough fight for anybody near 147...but he is also a tough sell. I will acknowledge that. But in the end, Manny wants the fight. Team Mayweather...I'm thinking not so much. And I'm not alone in that respect. It had garnered national attention once again, but the story is a tad different this go around.

You are entitled to your opinion. You are not alone but you are in the minority. maybe not the minority on this site but the minority in general.

Of course manny wants the fight, he stands to make 3x the biggest payday of his career. EVERY OTHER FIGHTER wants to fight floyd for this reason. I think floyd wants the fight but on his terms. He doesn't owe it to you or I or manny to accept any less. May not be "right" buts thats how the business works!

I think not. I think the majority of boxing fans are tired of Mayweathers act. Sure, people, including myself, will still watch him fight and pay to do so. He is a great talent and a great boxer. But outside of the ring, his act gets old. I get tired out people, especially on this site, that get a hrad-on for his "outside of the ring tactics" and they make him out to be this brilliant strategist when it comes to negotiations when that is the farthest thing from the truth. If he were that omnipotent, he wouldn't need Oscar and GBP to negotiate his contracts. Just sayin

Dude have you seen how much money floyd and his team have made the last 4 years? He works with SChaeffer and ODh because they generate huge money. You can't knock his business model.

His act may be old but his skills are still superior. Besides don't get it twisted, this is a business first. You gotta sell fights and put a$$es in the seats. Floyd is doing it better than anyone right now. He's running with the villian role and making it work.

He needs to fight. **** or get off the pot. Don't hate on Manny when he finds new opponents. He wants to stay active and could have with Floyd. Floyd, when he came back, said he had a list. So far, one name off that list he has fought. And what exactly was the point of the Marquez fight? If it was a so called "tune-up", what was he tuning up for??? One fight a year? If you can answer that without money being being tied to the arguement, I would love to hear it.

But money is the reason. After the mosley fight floyd said A floyd mayweather fight is like the supe bowl it only happens once a year." I mean its **** talking but step away from how he said it and think about it.

As they got bigger, Tyson, leonard, ali, ODH all the super duper transcendant stars fought less and less. It is too exspensive to put on more than 1 or 2 fights a year when you have to guarantee the boxe $45- 50 mil before anything else.

As boxing fans, we want to see the best fight more often. But the business has changed and that is no longer sustainable. Ray robinson and those guys fought 12 times a year because they had to. ODh can fight once evry 18 months if he gets $30 mil to fight.

remember tyson had to fight douglass in japan because it wasn't economically feasible to keep having him fight in the US. 1st round knockouts are great for us as fans but advertisers aren't paying big money if thir product is only on TV for 3-5 mins.

if Bob Arum was next to me and it was raining outside and Bob told me ,"Big Dunnits raining" I would still think he's lying.
