A 6'3" beanpole who's natural weight is 147
**** off Williams, and settle on a division where you are not 9 inches taller than all of your opponents.

All Roads Leads to Manny Pacquiao
COTTO gunning for PACQUIAO, MARGARITO gunning for PACQUIAO, JUAN MANUAL MARQUEZ gunning for PACQUIAO, BRADLEY gunning for PACQUIAO, and PAUL WILLIAMS. These are all MAN who don't stop striving. If FLOYD wasn't a ***** he would have accept the PAC fight already.

Only yesterday, I am arguing with a guy that thinks Bradley is ducking Alexander, by going up in weight to fight Abregu to try and land a fight with Mayweather.

I find it amazing how no one got mad at Martinez for NOT taking the immediate rematch with Williams to "explore other options" in the words of his manager. As a matter of fact I remember Martinez's manager saying, in his own words, that " Sergio and Paul are the two best middleweights, let's explore other options before they get in the ring again".
Martinez at one point was considered a strong candidate for a $$ Mayweather fight and NO ONE had a problem with that. But because Paul is 6'3 he can't drop weight and do the SAME EXACT THING Martinez would have done had Mayweather accepted his challenge?? GTFOH.. And people really need to stop throwinf Paul up in weight just because of his height. Celestino Caballero is 6 feet tall. Hell Ali Funeka is damn near eye lever with Paul Williams. Based on some of you guy's logic, Funeka should at LEAST be a middleweight and Caballero is a welterweight at minimum. Height means nothing

Arum aint Crazy!
Bob Arum in my opinon, would never put Manny in the ring with Paul Williams. First, Arum wants to keep all the money in-house. Second, Arum knows that he must protect Pac from in real threats. My reason for saying this is not that Pac has not taken on a few tough fights but to question maybe just how tough these fights really were. Ok, Ricky Hatton was hurt badly in his tune up fight against Juan Lazcano and was coming off of a knockout loss to Mayweather. He only looked OK in the fight with feather fisted Paulie Malignaggi and then fights Pac! Pac was not in any real danger here! Ok, Oscar De La Hoya has been nothing more than a part time fighter since 2002. He left the 147lbs weight division over 9 years ago because he struggled to make the weight. He agreed to fight Pac not at his regular weight or comfortable weight of 154lbs or even 160lbs were he fought B-hop but all the way back down at 147lbs. Freddie Roach use to train Oscar at 154lbs and he knew how hard it had become for Oscar to even make that weight so he jumped on a fight with Oscar at 147lbs! Why? He knew that Oscar would kill himself physically just to make the weight and not have any energy to fight Pac come fight night. So again, Pac was not in any real danger here! Ok, Miguel Cotto was not just coming off of one but three fights were he took trumendous punishment! Zab Judah, Margarito and Clottey! So mentally as well as physically he was in no shape to be fighting Pac but he did. On top of that, he came down to a catch weight of 145lbs. People seem to also not realize how much the impact of not having his Uncle/Trainer Evangelista Cotto in his corner, for the first time in his professional career for the biggest fight of his career would effect his confidence! LOOK back at Miguel's face and demeanor for the walk-in of the Pac fight and compare it to the walk-ins of all his other fights. Its a totally different man! Period! Think, Pac in a fight with Mayweather and No Freddie Roach in the corner! So again, Pac was facing a little danger but not to the magnitude it appeared! Everyone knows that the Clottey fight was at best Very Questionable! Here you have Clottey who was able to hit Manny easily and refused to even try to in the BiGGest fight of his career! Not to mention Clottey and Manny have the same promoter, Mr. Bob Arum. I smell FIX! I've never seen the Joshua Clottey that fought in the Pacquiao fight! I wonder WHY! OK finally Paul Williams! Paul is not like any of these other forementioned fighters that Pac has faced. He is not promoted by Bob Arum. He is not coming off of any bad beatings or loses. 147lbs is his natural weight so he would be fighting at the top of his game. Lastly and I feel most notable is the fact that he fights behind a great GAB! The best way to neutralize speed is with your GAB! BOXING 101! ADD the fact that he is 6'3 and has an arm span of 78 inches from fist to fist and fights with the same energy level as the Pac-Man and there u have it! A real and true threat! So with all that said, Bob Arum want make that fight! Arum aint Crazy!

I don't give a **** that Williams is not currently attempting to fight Martinez, because he already beat him. Although it is surprising that Williams does not want a piece of that Lineal Title. And as soon as Mayweather sorts his **** out, don't be too surprised when you see Sergio lookin for Paul
I am talking about Williams removing his lanky unwanted asss from the welterweight division, where he has never been taken seriously anyways.
" Height means nothing "
Bull****. That is knieve.
Boxing is about weight divisions, and superior technical skills and/or a combination of intangibles can more than compensate for a height disadvantage..... but don't try to tell me that a guy with Williams style compounded with a 9 inch height + reach advantage, doesnt sound like he has an unfair advantage to you.
Williams became a bit of a joke to me a few months back when he called out Hopkins at 170 then 2-3 days later he called out Pac at 147.
