Do you guys agree or disagree with this statement? I think he is...
1.) The guy avenged EVERY Loss and Draw of his career
2.) Used to be a chain smoker and a party guy yet still got so far in boxing and didnt lose focus
3.) Hadn't lost a fight from 1964 to 1977 till his retirement with a record of 87-3
4.) Was the undisputed middleweight champion for 7 years
5.) Defended his linear middleweight championship for 14 times.
6.) Had wins over Emile Griffith twice (Monzon was the second man to stop him), Nino Benvenuti, Rodrigo Valdez (Twice) to regain his wbc title for which he got stripped for not facing his mandatory.
Even Bernard Hopkins admitted out of the Middleweight ATG's he would lose to Carlos Monzon.
Carlos Monzon was a very active fighter and had a damn good jab, he knew how to use it properly. In the briscoe fight i think he average throwing 60 jabs per round
He was still an a$$hole though outside the ring, notorious for beating women.
