One year does not make you "fighter of the decade".

Pacquiao was steady for a long time but fought under the radar. Beginning in 2001 when he knocked out Lehlo Ledwaba for the 122 pound title, he dominated Barrera who was a P4P top 5 fighter. Then he draws with Marquez, loses to Morales, comes back and knocks Morales out twice and avenges the draw to Marquez.

He then steps up to get an alphabelt with David Diaz, knocks out the top 140 pound champion Ricky Hatton in two rounds, knocks out Cotto at 147.

He was solid with three years that stood out in particular.

Well in 2001 he went up 3 divisions and won his 2nd title and beat who arguably was the best that weight-class at the time.\

And, in 2003 he beat an elite prime P4P fighter. Who ESPN had rank in the top 50 ATG's.

How do you not know this? Were you watching boxing around this time?

Bro I followed him for a while. I get what you are saying.

What Im saying is, is that Floyd deserves the award IMO. However Floyd gave up 2 years of career and thats when Pac made his surge. Some think Floyd deserved it, some think Pac deserved. Its all about how you look at the 10 years in question.

That is the thing he flew under the radar. And, especially the people who don't follow the lower divisions. That people didn't notice that work he put on at the lower weights. And, they think he blew up with Oscar. But, really he has been a top fighter for the majority of the decade. And, has been putting in work since the beginning for the decade.

Naw Jro I think most people know this the fact is though is that he isnt being compared to his self he was in a race with Mayweather. Which means we have to compare it to Floyd. When Pac was under the radar Floyd was sitting high on P4P Lists.

Pac won, not much we can do about it but I fell Floyd deserved it.

If you really go with year by year it is really close. But, pac deserved it. The most you could give Floyd is 5 years that he had that was better than Pac. But, you give Pac the other 5 years. At the most that Floyd deserved was co-FOTD. That is all he deserved. He didn't deserved FOTD by himself. Pac did.... Floyd 2003-2005 did nothing, 2008-20009 nothing. That is 5 years of doing nothing. Floyd 2000-2002 was the man, 2007 big money fights while Pac did nothing. 2003-2005 Pac did more, 2008-2009 pac did more. That is 5 where Pac won it. It all depends on who you give 2006 to. If you give to Floyd then he is co-FOTD and shares the title with Pac. If you give it a draw or to Pac then Pac is alone in FOTD.

No Burner, he really didn't. There was 5 years Floyd did nothing. There was 5 years that Pac did more than Floyd. Pac has 5 years on Floyd. To say Floyd deserved and Pac didn't is really bull****. The most Floyd deserved is co-FOTD that is the most you could give him. If you say clearly deserved it clearly should of won it. Then you just being biased.
