Sugar Ray Robinson vs Floyd Mayweather Jr.

After hearing burner say that Floyd is better and has more skill than Robinson, I wanted to see if there were any non-delusional posters on here. Robinson at WW in his prime absolutely KO’s Floyd. Thoughts?

    ray robinson

mayweather said he's gifted , yes he is but so was robinson
the difference is robinson had more courage and heart

mayweather showed some courage in this last fight if he keeps
fighting like that till he retires then he could become as great
as robinson but he's not as great right now

I wouldn't say he would destroy Mayweather, how do you know he would? Have you ever seen Mayweather destroyed or even in trouble? No you haven't.

But either way Robinson has the same or better speed than Flloyd but much more killer-instinct and power. However Floyd has the better defense. Both have immense stamina though I'd still give the edge to Robinson as he punches nonstop and doesn't potshot 1 punch at a time. I'd say Robinson by UD or late TKO.

Just because I said he was better doesnt mean he wins. Cotto is a better fighter then Margarito and lost. Forrestt is better then Mayo and lost. Styles makes fights.

I refuse to pick against Floyd anymore in these ATG fights unless it just some mis match. Floyd is too smart. He would find a way too win.

I got to go SRR because I respect the old time fighters. What they accomplished for the craft should never be disrespected. You can be the best in your era but let the greats have their time.

robinson. robinson would not have let mayweather survive the 2nd round

Sugar ray by TKO in the late rounds. To much heart & will for Floyd, and great killer instinct.

At welterweight nobody was better than Ray Robinson IMO. Robinson was beating top strong middleweights like Jake Lamotta with no catchweights(like somebody else we know). In one fight Robinson weighed ony 144 against Lamotta. Robinson went 40-0 before losing to a middlweight (Lamotta) and never lost a fight at 147. I'm not saying Robinson would have an easy time with Mayweather but I can't pick Floyd in this one. Not even Floyd sr wouldn't pick his son over Robinson.
