your right, in terms of the fight, it doesnt need marinating, its the mayweather mosley or mayweather pacquaio at 140lbs but at the moment for such a good fight theres no money involved in it. how do you reckon these ppv numbers will stack up to mayweather mosley, even though this fight is much more competitive and both primed.

bottom line is the fighters dont have any interest in it yet cos they dont want to risk it all for a lousy purse and the promoters have no interest in it cos ppv and gate numbers will be lousy.

they jus callin each other out right now an aknowlegin each other to hype a big fight down the line. this is the business of boxing.

mayweather mosley would have been a better fight 8 years ago when they were 1st callin each out, but the ppv numbers are much better in 2010 then they would have been had they have fought in 2001/2, EVEN THOUGH THE FIGHT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER FOR US TO WATCH. once again this is boxing

Sometimes you gotta strike while the iron is still hot playa, let's face it, neither Bradley or Alexander are not PPV material and most likely will never get that far IMO. Putting these two men together to unify at this point will be the best move for that weight class, 140lbs is pretty solid right now, why risk a possibility of either guy losing a fight with some bum or a lesser fighter when you can make them both fight each other and let the winner get all the spoils and demand for a much bigger fight down the stretch?

EDIT: Besides, it's not like either are green or prospects at this point, there are 3 belts in the line here, it's not like they are fighting for just recognition.

I don't agree with the "marinating" argument either. They can fight now, continue with their careers and fight again later if need be.

I really hope the Bradley-Aelxander fight happens in July/August. I think that Bradley is the best at 140lbs atm, before somebody beats him.

bradley will beat alexander and prove he is the best. what has alexander done to warrant such praise beat urango? i wasnt that impressed in that fight urango was landing and seemed to have stunned devon on a few occasions until the big punch landed and even then i would say that fight was stopped early

                  Bradley beat better people.

He is the more skillful boxer.

He has less power, but everything else is equal or the same.

Nothing I see in Alex gonna make me think he can get a UD or KO Bradley.

The only thing Alexander has right now is the fact that he knows Bradley wants big money fights and already did he run of good names and fighter while Alex has maybe 2 names.

Bradley didn;t duck him when he dropped the WBC, he wanted a piece of Hatton, Pacquaio.

This was before Alex beat Witter.

Yeah Alex shouting for a fight, and Bradley hasn't made it, but he wants a big payday.

Alex is rightfully the number 2, but he aint a big name to earn the bucks.
