Man, I don't know about you guys. But I don't get where some people are claiming that Adamek's power at Heavy isn't legit. He messed up Arreola's face worse than Vitali did. Arreola just has a chin from hell.

its funny how things change.....NOW Adamek is getting the props he should be getting.....I still believe he ducked the Cunningham rematch but I also believe this dude is ELITE.....I didn't watch the fight but I KNEW he'd beat Arreola.....I said this months ago before the fight was even signed.....Adamek outboxes Arreola EVERYTIME ANYTIME!!

Arreola only has himself to blame. After being beat by Vitali, he cried and said he wanted it so bad! So everyone had hoped he would get in better shape and make another run. This fight proved he is what he is, a Mexican who loves his food more than his career. And a lack of fan support (he said he expected more to come see him fight) will not change him. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and at least fun to watch (to an extent) but he will never be a champion unless he a) loses a good amount of weight (be somewhere around 230-235) and b) learns to go for the body more, especially on a mover/runner like Adamek. I don't think I ever heard his corner tell him to go for the body but if they did, he didn't listen...Last edited by SluggerFan; 04-25-2010, 04:39 AM.

Well Chris just lost me 40K. I honestly thought that he would bring his skills to the fight last night, but he didn't. He let Adamek outbox him in ways that he shouldn't have. Adamek's lateral movement gave Chris the fits, and won him the fight(along with sticking to the gameplan, which is something I thought Adamek would abandon once he got taged good enough). I'm very disapointed in Chris, he took Adamek a little too lightly IMO.

Arreola was never anything special anyway, he has very limited skills and pretty much just a punchers chance with every1 he fights. I'm sure he loves boxing but he will never dedicate himself all the way to it and that is the opposite of a champ.
His trainer thinks the exact way he does and as a trainer you can not just rely on a lucky shot, what a worthless team all together.

No surprise here. We all know Chris has very limited skills, and going up against someone that can actually box was putting an automatic L on his record. I think Arreola needs a new trainer, someone that will teach him to go to the body more. If he went to the body like a prime Cotto used to do and actually took care and conditioned himself then he would be something nice. I was watching the fight with my wife and she said "how is this guy a boxer, look at how fat he is."
