For the record im not American but today i have seen stuff like this..
Another American Hype Job goes down..
Pavlik is a decent fighter but Martinez is a great fighter
Pavlik is a bum.. a bar room brawler at best..
Pavlik at the age of 28 has a good resume he certainly is no American hype like some others i could mention. He had huge difficulty with a fairly slick and crafty fighter in Bhop, yet he took a fight with a even slicker and faster but a little smaller southpaw. He has a piss poor trainer (imo) if the corner advice is anything to go by from what i have seen in Pavliks fights vs Hopkins/Martinez in particular..
It's not hype when you knock out the best in your division i.e Taylor, Miranda and a number of other mandatories.
As for the fight Ledermans score was probably the most accurate for once .. Pavlik lost the first 4 rounds by being outboxed. Yet he went onto win the next 4 or 5 (with a KD) by actually outboxing Martinez.. after he worked him out (this is even with his **** corner).. coming in with feints and jabbing well..Typical bar room brawler right??
The cut changed everything.. Martinez looked like a beaten man and Pavlik was pretty much blocking the majority of his shots. The shots which he was landing were flashy ones, while he was being hit back by crisp hard shots by the bigger fighter. Martinez punches actually started doing damage after the cut because Pavlik couldn't see them at all. In all he was a little unlucky he got beat by a very good fighter who he probably would have beaten if not for the cut..
But typical NSB he is an American Hype, a Bar Room Brawler etc simply cause he lost.. Never mind the fact that it was largely down to a cut and that Martinez is a ****ING good fighter.. and now you got people thinking Pac beats that Pavlik
