Kostya Tszyu will dominate this fight from the onset. He will pummel Hatton with swift power punches which will slice the skin on his face open within the first 3 rounds. Hatton will be discouraged and lose sight on his initial fight plan. Tszyu senses this and goes in for the kill. He puts out Hatton in the 6th round..via TKO
You know, the more I try to picture the fight, the more I see Hatton's face bleeding
But I can also picture him triumphant with blood-stains!
He's a tough little cookie
It's going to be interesting to see how Hatton is going to land his wind-up body shots without being hit with something, and how it affects him if he does get caught. Will he fight harder? Will he be discouraged? Guess we'll have to wait and see...
For what it's worth...
Barry Michael (Ex IBF champ) is on the radio here tonight.
He was speaking with Sam Soliman, who was one of Tszyu's sparring partners. Sam told him that Tszyu hits as hard as any middleweight he's ever fought or sparred. His words were that Hatton has absolutely no chance against Tszyu. None.
But Ricky has never been rocked really, he's looked in trouble on occasions but never truly rocked (seeing as he's remained composed and come back to dominate). So he may have a granite chin for all we know.
Hatton was put down by Magee and rocked by Vince Phillips.
But if I remember rightly he got straight back up when he was knocked down, so he was just caught cold (opening 30 seconds of the fight if I remember?!).
Yes flash knockdown to magee-no doubt, but he got straight back up and won by a wide points margin... and rocked by philips???? erm he won every single round according to at least of the judges as far as i remember and nearly all from the other 2...
now lets be fair philips was not the same philips as when tszyu fought him but he was no slouch as was in good physical condition...perhaps too good considering his positive test for steroids after the hatton fight...
