But isnt this a good match up for james tony??? think about it...


randy got koed by a sloppy loopy punches of chuck liddle twice and since james tony doesnt kick then he doesnt have to risk his balance he can focus on jabs and footwork and make randy slip up and get caught.


Blieve it or not I give james tony more chance againts couture then anyone else cause coutures not good with defending punches more so catch kicks and clinching up (ex:brandon vera and others...)

Also randy doesnt have good footwork and the only time he looked decent striking was againts tim freaking silvya

Randy would only have to focus on punches from Toney, rather than looking for a takedown, knee, elbow, strikes, etc....

Randy is gonna take Toney down and choke the snot right outta him.

Personally,I will be too busy watching a real sport.One that focuses on athleticism and technique rather than a bunch of glass jawed grapplers swinging away at each other like school girls and gassing after two minutes.

In all fairness some of those guys are tough, for example there is a guy name thiago alves and his got great technique in muay thai and great leg kicks and some have great boxing skills as well among themselves.

Also my boxing coach isnt too crazy about mma either but he said muay thai is a tough sport and it hurts as hell

1. Toney has no clinch experience. And overhand is just what needed to set up a tight greco clinch and drop him on the ground or fence control the fight.

2. Toney has no movement in the lower body. This makes him susceptible to judo technique if it gets hard to drop him to the ground. Thank god he's not fighting anyone with kicking experience.

3. Toney doesn't know his body. Getting fat is a clear indication. If it isn't the stamina that stalls out on him, it'll be the panic he'll be in getting folded up in new directions and beaten.
