Which is the damn point here. A drained RJ beat Tarver. Why are there people who think Tarver would have any chance against pre-Ruiz Roy Jones? It's ridiculous.

Jones beat Tarver, because Tarver threw the fight away with his dumb tactics.

where did you learn math??? 199-175=24, and that's muscle mass he was losing, not fat.

I doubt it. Timing. Jones was just slower.

Come fight night Jones had rehydrated back up to 185 lbs so it is:
              199-185=14 lbs in 8 months.

Also it wouldnt of been pure muscle he would of put on fat as well because:
1:A you need fat as it serves as your bodies energy reserve
2:You need it in order to metabolise vitamins like A,C and D

People make too big a deal on the weight loss, Jones simply lost to the better man that day, case closed.

True, but as a orthodox fighter he would of always been a bit vunerable to the left hook out of the southpaw stance. As fast as Jones was he couldnt realistically dodge every left hook in a fight, I remember him getting dropped by a left hook from Lou De Valle

That left from Del Valle was vastly different from what he took from Tarver; completely different scenarios, etc. Not a good comparison at all.

Its been a while since ive seen that fight I'll have to watch it again sometime, but my point is the same he cant be expected to dodge every bomb thrown his way.

Completely different. Tarver's was an overhand left counter. Del Valle was a lead one-two. Different type of punches, scenarios, you name it. Jones was left seeing stars from the Tarver punch whereas the Del Valle punch stunned him, at best.
