Toney not fighting Kimbo could face Couture in June or July

Like i said in another thread. dana white wants to show the world mma > boxing. Two legends from each sport going at it. Toney will be the sacrificial lamb. If toney uses a boxing stance he's getting taken down easily. Ground n pound then it'll be a stoppage or sub win for the natural.

That's not necessarily true. The difference is that boxing is an aspect of MMA and the boxer holds an advantage in that area so they have a puncher's chance. The MMA fighter, however, would have zero advantages and basically no chance.

Couture may be 46, but his body is younger than Toney's, who is 41. Couture only started MMA professionally when he was 33-34. Couture is a world class wrestler. He won the gold medal in greco-roman wrestling at the 1991 Pan American Games. He's the master of the ground and pound in MMA. I expect Couture to stop Toney via the ground and pound in less than one minute.

This is really bad news for Toney, Couture might be old but he has been consistent and alot of ppl thought Gonzaga would handle him like a year or 2 ago and Randy took him to school.

March was Mayorga's match announcement. He's fighting in May.

Toney is being given time to be somewhat battle ready and will show up July at the latest.

Toney will win the fight by simply being a hell of a lot smarter than Couture. I box and do mma also, but a boxer first. Boxers can last, trust me. He just gotta fight smart and thats all ther is to it.
