You cant compare boxing to the NFL. When a boxer fights 17 times ( not to mention playoffs) a year every year then you can. Two different sports. 2 different type of Hall of Fames.

Castillo will get in. Gatti is a lock. Corralles is a lock. Oscar is a lock. JMM is a lock.

Pac will Fight a Top level guy next. Whether it's Mosley, Margarito, Valero or a shot at a 154 belt it doesn't matter. One thing for sure is this; Pac doesn't need this fight and his legacy is already secured. Everything at this point is just icing on the cake.

Here is the thing for every post you read about how good Pac is... You have post also saying how one dimensional Pac is, how overhyped he is, how he has no chance against Floyd, how overrated he is, how he went life and death with a guy who Floyd totally dominated, how the only reason he beat Oscar was cuz Oscar was old and weight drained, how the only reason he beat Hatton was cuz Hatton was not the same after Floyd, how the only reason he beat Cotto was cuz he was damaged goods and at a catchweight. And, IF Floyd beats Pac those same posters who wasted all there time trying to discredit and diminish what Pac has done and pretty much saying how Pac has zero chance will come and say how great of a win it was for Floyd... How it was the best win of his career how he beat an ATG... That is what Floyd fans do after every fight for Floyd.... They diminish his opponents and then try to big them up after the fight... To try to make the win better than what it really was... They did it with Oscar, Hatton, JMM, Baldomir, Judah, Gatti... And, they are even going to do it with Shane if Floyd does beat Shane that is...

You already know I want him to. Hell I truly believe Pac will KO Floyd. But if they don't fight...so what? That is just how boxing works. There are many cases in which a favorite fighter of mines didn't fight a guy I wanted to but It never changed my opinion on him or how I rate them. Just for ****s and giggles here is a brief list

I wish Tyson and Lewis would have fought in the mid 90's. There were several chances and one was before he got KO'd by McCall and another one was earlier on in the 90's.

I wish Hamed would have fought Morales and Pacquiao, but while he hinted at a return, he never was serious and didn't take boxing serious

I wish Roy would have fought Nigel Benn....and those guys were both highly ranked SMW for several years.

I wish B-hop and Roy would have killed their B.S. but never did so as a fan I never got a chance to seem them face each other when they were in their prime and on top of there game.

There are countless other fights but I think you get the point. Bottom line is that boxing has always moved on, despite mega fights not happening. Boxing has and will continue to live on.
