We love watching the big names fight but boxing was here before, and will be here after the present top guys are all gone. The back and forthing between Floyd and Manny fans is trite.

Why can't we be friends.....
Boxing will always be here but I'm just expressing my gratitude for this decade and for those to come.

Miguel Cotto will be 34 (already stated he has a couple more fights before he hangs them up)
Manny Pacquiao will be 36
Ricky Hatton will be 36 (signs of his decline are already evident)
Floyd Mayweather will be 37
Wladmir Klitschko will be 38
Juan Manuel Marquez will be 41
Shane Mosley will be 43
Vitali Klitschko will be 43
Roy Jones Jr. will be 46 (its pretty clear the Roy of the 90s is no longer with us)
Bernard Hopkins will be 50 (by the looks of it he's looking to set up his last few fights by this year)
Of course there are a lot more but these are just a few worth mentioning.
A lot of you following the sport religiously probably notice a pattern in fighters of our era either retire early or retire too late in their careers. Nowadays, top fighters make enough money to retire early, leaving fans yearning for more, dreaming of what fights could have been if fighter a fought fighter b. Not to worry I do realize there are many up and coming fighters but again there will never be another Mayweather or Pacquiao. They are one of a kind, at least for me anyways.
So this is an appreciation for the fighters of this decade, giving us the exhilirating, adrenaline filled entertainment we love so much called boxing.
Appreciated

bashing you and your thread wasn't really my intention, honest. you see if i really wanted to bash, this is what i would have posted:
In five years, most of our favorite posters will be retired or way past prime, posting himself out of his own misery until boxingscene becomes the death of him. From 2009 and out,
The Great Shark will still be having catfights with wazaa
The Great Shark will change his name to The Tyrannosaurus Rex
The Great Shark's balls will finally start to drop
The Great Shark will finally move out of his parents' place
The Great Shark will finally come out of the closet
Of course there are a lot more but these are just a few worth mentioning.

I respect Pacman, and his commitment, and thriving to create a legacy. I just can't stand some of the fans that make up all this crazy ****, and show no logic in arguments. They show no love for boxing, but rather lover for Pacman.
Sorry but if your are like what I explained above, I can't appreciate you. ***** or *******.

but clearly i didn't. so yes, that wasn't my intention to begin with.
If you truly had ANY intention in bringing a positive force you would have put your two cents about boxing.
