Am I the Only One Who Thinks Gus Johnson Is Not Right For Boxing?

He kept insisting that DeMarco was "luring Valero in" and that at any moment DeMarco would "take over". At first a lot of people thought that, but by the 4th round when DeMarco was eating punches like skittles, it was fairly obvious as to what was happening. Gus didn't see it that way... Perfect example. He should just stick to the play by play, which he really isn't good at either.

Gus Sucksssss!!! Big Time!
He shouldn't be on Showtime. He sucks and doesn't know when and how to queue the other commentators. He stumbles on his words, seems nervous, disorganized, impartial and too many: "WOW"; "HAHAHA"; "He's Stunned!"-- exaggerations....
Bring Bob "The coronel" Sheridan!!!

He is not that bad, his cheerleading is obvious so to me that is not that bad because he makes it real apparent. He has not been broadcasting boxing that long but he is a lot like Jim Lampley without the 30 years of doing boxing blow by blow.
Atleast he gets excited about the goings on and seems to enjoy what he is doing.

We're talking about a guy who, during the Jake Shields/Jason Miller fight in STRIKEFORCE, explained the reason Shield's rear naked chokes weren't effective not because Miller was tucking in his chin, but because he was "holding his breath."
Yes, he actually said that.
