delahoya is not on arum's level businesswise. neither is schaeffer.

top rank is a well oiled machine and to me is the best run promotional company. top rank is what made oscar and floyd what they are.

gbp only had inside track with hbo because of delahoya. delahoya was able to use his name to get juicy deals for gbp.

hbo and mgm grand had to cut gbp good deals to get oscar's business.

with oscar retired and no longer the cash cow of boxing.......things will change.

Mayweather can fight a scrub and make over $20 million per fight while Manny is killing himself in the ring making $30 million and getting pimped by Arum. Arum has always been pimping his boxers. You made some good points. However, don't think Arum is going to lose anything on that fight. He got at least a $10 to $15 million site fee from Jerry Jones. That, plus the amount HBO is throwing in, plus whatever he gets in sponsorship fees will be more than enough to cover all the costs. His 27 percent of Pac's purse, plus the PPV revenue and the gate is all profit for Arum.

i'm not saying arum will lose money.
