Floyd fans: have a seat and lets talk!

Let me start off by saying I've been a Floyd Mayweather fan ever since he fought Tony Pep on ESPN.

I watched him wrestle the title away from Genaro Hernandez and then immediatley sign to fight and eventually destroy EL DIABLO Manfredy. I thought I was in LOVE (no ****). I hadn't seen such a graceful, defensively sound, quick and intelligent fighter like him since.... Ray Leonard.

I watched his fights on TV and I attended a few of his fights in person (emmanual burton at the cobo center, jc castillo and gatti). I probably have had Floyd ranked #1 pound for pound since Jermain Taylor upset Bernard Hopkins in their first fight. Real talk.

With that said, Mayweather fans, WTF happened to our boy? Lets not play the denial game any longer.

As a Mayweather fan you know good and damn he's full of **** these days. This is not the same "Lil Floyd" that we fell in love with (no ****). Right now, roids or not, Manny Pacquiao is doing the things that Floyd used to do.

I think Floyd is still capable, but he needs more heat under his ass. In no way, shape or form is Nate Campbell, Kermit or Matthew Hatton acceptable.

The walls have closed in on him. The only viable opponents are Williams and Mosley (or berto if he wins). Lets stop supporting everything Mayweather does and call a spade a frickin spade.

Floyd at this moment feels that boxing fans (including his fans) are beyond DUMMIES. He feels that he can fight any ****ty fighter he wants and then give us lip service telling us how great the opponent is. Are Mayweather fans really that ******? I know I'm not.

I will not support a PPV or anything else if Mayweather isn't in the ring with a top welterweight opponent next. Bottom line.

I agree to a point... who has he fought other than marquez that wasnt a good fight?? honestly I would like to see him fight more than two friggin times a year.... if he wants to fight campbell thats fine, but he damn well better finish the year off by fighting mosley and pac!! If he fights 3 times a year i'll let him slide on JWW....

This is my list of fighters I would be happy seeing him fight next.

Bradley- one of the most skilled fighters and would be a test of two great skilled fighters

Cotto- would love to see Cotto get one good last payday and if he has anything left in the tank to give PBF fits

Mosley- because he needs to be put into retirement and I would love to see PBF put to the ultimate test from ATG

Khan- would love to travel to UK and witness the fight

Berto- see how good young berto really is compared to ATG

Williams- how his defense would be able to hold up 100 punches/rd and if pwill would be able to even get to floyd and hurt him

Martinez- if PBF could put on a clinic against one of the best technical fighters

Collazo- someone that would look good on his resume

Cintron- love to see pbf dismantle him from head to toe

Im sure u guys will disagree, but this is how I feel about each fight

I personally was never a guy who put him above all... I simply love his skills and I can only love him if he displays them.

I live in Germany so I can't stop supporting him or start to... because I never couldn't.

I all along defended him against wrong critism... and I still do but if he now after the Pacquiao debacle doesn't fight Mosley (because NOW there is no reason why he shouldn't with Pacquiao out of the way) I won't defend that... I still defend the stuff from before with Mosley... but not what or if it happens now... because Mosley now has the right to call himself the best WW (which he hasn't had before) and that's the natural opponent...

If he fights now Campbell I won't defend that and I can't... why should I? But if he fights Mosley afterwards I don't care about that anymore... but if he fights Campbell and then waits till September or whatever and his opponent isn't Mosley or Pacquiao this is an absolute joke. I knew that Pacquiao had better options if the fight fell through but Campbell c'mon man...

I don't count Williams... he is not a WW and let's be serious nobody at WW will fight him... as long as Williams doesn't bring superstar money to the table nobody will fight him... not even Mosley... not even Pacquiao... not even Cotto... NOBODY.

I agree with your list with the exception of Nate Campbell. Nate is nothing special and I don't care what he weighs.

I'll even bend a lil on the weight class. I'd support an Amir Khan fight in the UK. That's a challenge, imo. Khan is quick, powerful and has a strong following. But even that fight would have to be a tuneup for Shane or Pacman.

            We're on the same page.

Williams is a tough sonofabitch. But Williams is the type of opponent Floyd needs to beat. Most Floyd fans realize that Floyd can pull it out. Yes, it's a big challenge, but do you remember years ago when Floyd was calling out Winky Wright at 154?

That version of Winky was better than this version of Paul Williams. That was the Winky that toyed around with Shane Mosley and Felix Trinidad.

FLoyd can beat Paul da freak Williams. He has that type of greatness, but he's not pushing himself anymore and that's the problem. Nate Campbell doesn't do **** for his career.

I just wish floyd wasnt so damn secretive about who he wants to fight these days.... I honestly think he is really pissed about this pac fight not happening... he saw a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ signs and he knew pac could not beat him... he even lured pac with marquez fight, which was brilliant on haymon and ellerbe's part! Now they have to go back to the drawing board and the next biggest fight is mosley or cotto... IMO cotto fights hatton next though

what i don't understand is why folk is questioning JMM, Hatton, De la Hoya, Baldomir, Judah.

all of them where champions or titleholders when he fought them. Most of them where at thee very top of their division.

I am not a Floyd fan who is or will be fixated on him fighting a WW.

I will expect him to fight a fighter with some skills, 140 and up, if they got skills they can get it...and i'm cool with it!

I personally think so too... that he would beat Williams... but if your mind is on making money then I guess it is hard to convince yourself to fight a guy where you have to overcome a massive size disadvantage and also punch output... he would have to work... but if Mayweather comes in mean I wouldn't count him out by any means... I mean Williams is not such a great boxer or anything... if he would be 5'8 and had the same style like he does now... nobody would talk about him... I'm just saying... I can't blame him for not taking a fight that nobody else at WW would take you know... I mean Mosley has also a chance at beating P-Will but he ain't wants to fight him... there are some reasons why...

I want to see Mayweather-Pacquiao... Mayweather-Mosley... these are the natural fights for Floyd that a guy who can call the shots or at least has a lot to say should care for... I also wanted to see him fight Cotto, but after Cotto's beating I'm not that interested anymore.

Mayweather-Mosley... Mayweather-Pacquiao somewhere down the stretch this year... I really don't want to read Mayweather-Campbell or Mayweather-Malignaggi or some ****... I mean it is disrespectful to Campbell or Malignaggi to act like they were nobodies but compared to Floyd... they simple have nothing to do in one ring with him

Because they hate him... and hate is bigger then facts... they talk all day... I said it a millions times... Judah, Baldomir... like it or not were top rated fighters at that time Floyd was there... DLH and Hatton were opponents that everybody wanted because of fame/money considerations...

Somehow they have these myth in their heads... that Floyd can all the shots... Floyd started calling his shots after the DLH fight... before he was Nr. 1 P4P but that means ****... they blame him for every fight that wasn't made... even though there is nothing he could have done... if a fighter doesn't wants too... you won't get him... he begged guys like Mosley for years for a fight... it was embarrassing... he called out guys like Tszyu, Casamayor etc. many times... and now they are all crying... nobody wanted to help him become a star... DLH finally did... and now he can do what he wants and earn a lot of money... and now they all turn it back like he could forever call the shots or whatever... simply hate...

It's the same with Pacquiao... dude can call his shots since the fight with DLH... he made Cotto come down in weight... he probably will make Clottey come down... that's the way it works in boxing if you finally arrived
