Have you heard of the original 8 weight-classes bro? and you also have to remember back then they only had 1 title... There was no WBA, WBO, IBF, and really WBC was not there from the beginning.

If they did have all this weight-classes and all this titles back then. Then you could of see Henry Armstrong winning 8 titles in 7 divisions, or Jimmy McClarnin winning 9 titles in 9 divisions. So you have to look at it that way.

And, BTW Jimmy McClarnin was not African American, and he near the Flyweight limit as a teenager. He fought the first great Filipino and ATG Flyweight Pancho Villa. And, McClarnin kept moving up in weight and as soon as he fought WW beat Benny Leonard at WW. He stopped him 6 rounds. Again McClarnin started closely at the Flyweight limit. And, Benny Leonard is easily top 10 P4P ATG. Arguably ahead of Willie Pep all time. That how good Leonard was and McClarnin stopped him at 6 and it was actually a little bit above the WW limit. Leonard was way greater than Cotto was.

McClarnin also KO'd in 1 round Young Corbett III. He did that as a WW. It took only 1 round. Corbett III was actually a better fighter than Ricky Hatton. Again McClarnin near Flyweight as a teenager moved up and start destroying WWs. Does it sound familiar?
