    $1.1 million offer for Mosley!

    TOP RANK STATEMENT REGARDING MARGARITO/MOSLEY
"We are dismayed to read the statement of attorney Judd Burstein accusing Top Rank, in effect, of not telling the truth that Shane Mosley, Mr. Burstein's client, has refused to fight welterweight champion Antonio Margarito. Late yesterday, we were informed in a telephone conversation with a top programming executive for a top television network that Mr. Burstein had, indeed, informed that network that Shane would not fight Antonio under any circumstances. Of course, it is possible that the television executive misunderstood Mr. Burstein; or, perhaps more logically, that Mr. Burstein's statement to the television executive did not reflect his client's view of the matter. We are herewith making a firm offer to Shane Mosley to fight Antonio Margarito this summer for the welterweight championship. We will agree to pay a purse to Mr. Mosley of $1,100,000 for his participation in the bout. We will ask Mr. Mosley for no options or future rights regarding his career. If he defeats Antonio, which we regard as doubtful, he would be absolutely free to pursue his career in any manner he sees fit as the new welterweight champion. To accept this offer, all Shane, or Judd, have to do is send a fax to Top Rank accepting the offer with our permission for him to release such fax to the media."

Mosley has $$$, he needs opponents that he can beat, and Margarito is way too tough for Sugar Shane at this point....Shane should do himself a favor and cut 7 more pounds and go to 140, so that he can be competitive again, he has no chance vs. the elite at 147, and 140 is juicy right now

What makes Margarito so tough? because he beat a prospect in a overrated Cintron? He just lost to Santos and was hurt a few times

Shane must have really looked bad against Estrada to think he can't compete at 147.

The only Mexican he wants is De La Hoya.

Margarito dominated Cintron, destroyed Six Heads, and lost a nail-biter vs. Santos, Mosley has gotten his a$$ kicked vs. every good opponent since 2000 aside from the DeLaHoya fiasco

Mosley should retire. I am not sure what he is trying to prove at this point.

Mosley wasted too much time after the First De La Hoya fight. He waited for Oscar instead of fighting top competition. Then after the losses to Forrest, he gets a rematch with Oscar. He losses, but wins. Then turns down 5-8 million to fight Oscar again, and fights Wright for 2 million. ******!******!******!

Yeah well Winky Wright would beat all these welters too! Shane never should have fought him. Too big.
