There has to got to be a rematch, I still thought p-dub won the championship rounds down the stretch, even though Martinez was still swinging away.he damn near passed out of exhaustion, I think it was the 10th or 11th.would like to see this on the undercard of a ppv event in early 2010.

I thought that Harold had it right 7-5 for paul williams. Anyone who thinks that either fighter was overrated is a damn fool. This was a tough, tough fight that changes boxers lives. The NJ judge was off but he's from NJ.
Sergio landed some bombs but that's all he landed. he would need to throw a whole lot more jabs in order to win.

Martinez got robbed so bad, it's not even funny..... I was at the fight, and the entire crowd even though was mostly all PRO williams, all boooed the decision. This became the only thing people were talking about as they left was who in the hell were these absolutely horrible judges. It's a joke.... Williams knows he didn't win that fight. Only people that care I guess are the bookies. Martinez rearranged williams face, and williams gets the nod? Williams couldn't really land anything flush. Martinez was able to just roll all the punches off. When martinez landed, you could hear the punch echo through the auditorium. Ugh, these judges are going to put the sport of boxing in the history books..

I had Martinez winning but the robbery thing is crazy either one of them could have won and noth had arguments for a win. The NJ judge that scored the fight like that was wrong..sometimes i wish i had the connections to be a judge, seems like you really don't have to be good at it to score a fight..
Like someone mentioned in a post earlier I have a feeling that both of these fighters won't be the same anymore and it's a shame..
Feel bad for sergo though, the judges screwed him in the cintron fight and i have a feeling for him to get a win against a noteworthy name seems like he has to KO them.. he's 34years old i hope he has another 4 great fights in him, he deserves the dough

Williams has glaring weaknesses
This fight showed along with the Quintana fight that Paul Williams is actually too tall for his own good. He keeds his chin up even when he sets to throw his punchs which leaves him wide open for right or left hand counters. He also over shoots his punches and ends up getting caught either coming in or swinging wide. And I believe this is because he is so tall. Another thing we learned last night is that he is not suitablefor 160. Pavlik would have had a very good chance of knocking Williams out if he caught Williams the way Sergio caught him with them good shots all throughout the fight.
