Uh yeah clearly that's why I made this repetitive bull**** thread.

My feeling is YOU are still smarting from Kessler getting dismantled so watching Roy's career end made you feel better and now making a thread like this will make you feel even better.

The rest on here are mostly just jilted Joe queens.

It was not controversial really though was it? it was clear Paz had won imo. Duran just bitched like it was closer than it was.

I guess I never rated Jones as highly as others do. I appreciate and respect him, can't deny he had skills, but he wasn't invincible as some make him out to be. I don't like showboating and pulling faces at binmen either. Calzaghe would have always given him problems, IMO.
considering calzaghe got knocked down by a 40 year old roy jones who had previously been knocked out twice and then followed on to get knocked out again....i dunno...dont see it

Also how am I numbed? Because I'm not a mouth breather that rates Collins? Collins was not a threat to anyone. Well, except to Eubank I guess but that says more about Chis than it does about "Stevie"....

Jones would have no reason to turn down a fight with Calzaghe. Joe wasn't taken seriously by most ppl including ppl in the UK. Joe couldn't even fill a 5000 seat arena before 2004 and that's in his own homeland.
Do you have attendance numbers for all of his fights or something?

Hey just for fun, which trinket organizations belt was Joe holding at the time?

It's just that you are not your usual aggressive self that's all.

What do you think about Nunn and Liles?

I see it. Calzaghe was getting older himself. He became a champion in 1997, peaked 10 years later, the started losing his punch resistance. If he carried on or came back, he'd be decked again. If he fought until he is 40+, he would probably be knocked out like Roy.

Just because Roy was KO'd doesn't mean he can't hurt you. There's an old saying: The last thing a fighter loses is his punch. Anyone around 168-175 can get knocked down by even an old Roy Jones.
