Please. Boxrec has him ranked 69th.

Just listen to what I am saying please. It will play out very similar. Though I am not saying he will beat him, I sure as hell am not going to count him out. That is absurd: and should be between 2 peices of bread made into a ludacris sandwich.
i think VK is gonna smoke rahman... rahman has been fighting BUMS, nothing to get him ready for VK... its been 4-5 years since rahman won a big fight... he couldn't beat an old holy or ruiz... i will be happy to see VK shut his mouth up and then byrd's and barrett's...

In terms of Ranking, Rahman is a poor fight.

Vitali Klitschko is self admittedly trying to establish himself as the #1 Heavyweight.

        Despite an OPEN CHALLENGE:

from WBA champion John Ruiz, Vitali opted to fight a guy Ruiz already clearly and thoroughly beat.

Just because there are a lot of people who think Vitali isn't polished enough to beat Rahman and that Rahman is a live underdog, doesn't change the fact he hasn't beaten a top 15 fighter in years.

Rahman lost to Ruiz. Its a poor fight for Vitali, after two other back to back poor fights.

            Wow man, you're sure something.

You say Rahman's been fighting bums, yet Klitschko's last two fights were agaisnt Williams and Sanders. Rahman knocked out Sanders quicker when he was younger and in better shape.

You also echoed what I said in Rahman having not beat a highly ranked fighter in years.

I hate to break this to you, but Kirk Johnson and Larry Donald are Vitali's most noteworthy wins.

            Rahman knocked out Lennox Lewis.

My point was that Rahman isn't in title contention now after having lost to Ruiz, and that Vitali would be better served fighting one of the other champions.

Bottom line is that he's not anywehre near the top ten.

He's a soft opponent, and that's just what Wlad needs.

Stop tyring to sugar coat it. The guy is NOT a highly ranked fighter, or even a contender.

                Oh WILL YOU ALL STOP!

Man, this is getting out of hand... You can post another 100 posts in here and you won't convince any one.. The only person who can convince the lovers and the haters wrong is W. Klitchko himself. He can either go down again and prove the haters they are right, or he can stay there take hits and win by later rounds KO, proving he "might have a chin" and stamina!

Until then, both sides will go back to back and around again.. and this is pointless

I personally do not believe that he went down because Williams took him down... Have you ever ran so much that you couldn't stand on your feet, or even breath... and everything in front of you flashes? That's where Wlad was when Williams hit him in the fifth round.. Williams didn't take him down.. Wlad was spaced out to continue on fighting.

Rahman is one of the best and most dangerous heavyweights in the division right now. I don't care what he's ranked, or who beat him;the guy can box, has power, and is very physically strong. People inside boxing all know Rahman is a bigger threat to the title than Ruiz. I'm not saying he will win as he is certainly at a disadvantage against Vitali, but at least he will put up a fight and test Vitali's chin in a way than Ruiz or Byrd could not.

i havent seen anyone accuse VK of ducking ruiz... from what I've read, king had demands on options that killed fight... there are alot VK haters out there in the media(maxboxing/**********) and I havent heard any of them say VK ducked ruiz or byrd...

Rahman is probably the best opponent Vitali can get into a ring right now, without being forced to wait another 5 to 10 months (or more) for a fight to happen. Neither Ruiz or Byrd would've stepped into the ring with Vitali, and even if they would've, I don't think King would've allowed it until after he's had a short unification tournament between his own fighters. He won't let those two titles go without making some cash on them first. The only reason he made it publicly known that he wanted Byrd to fight Vlad is because he knew, beyond doubt, that Byrd wouldn't take that fight.

My prediction is that Byrd and Toney will both win their upcoming fights, and that they'll fight each other after that, with the winner finally being forced into a unification bout with Vitali Klitchko. Provided Klitchko hangs onto his title until then (and I can't think of anyone who might be able to take it away), Vitali should be the unified champ sometime in late spring of next year, 2006, after either a short fight against Toney, ending with Toney broken and bleeding on the canvas, or a long, tactical unanimous decision over Byrd, who's face will be puffy like a blowfish after the fight.

It's also my opinion that Sam Peter will probably get a shot at Klitchko sometime after the Rahman fight and before an actual unification bout, and will lose as convincingly as he's won his last several fights.

I'm going to forget about the heavyweight division for awhile, and wait for something exciting to happen in Cruiser, and middle instead.
