yeah it will be an easy fight for floyd cause the fight won't last 12 rounds cause floyd will be knock out under 3 rounds. pac hater keep on reminiscing the time when pacman only used his left fist for defeating his opponents. Pacman is different now, he's a complete fighter now and just look how he defeat his last four opponents. I doubt if floyd can do to Cotto what pacman did. He might not be even able to defeat Cotto.

Top 5 ATG's can lose to good fighters. They can lose to a guy who happens to have the right style antidote. But top 5 ATG's do not get shut down. So, that will be the measuring stick for Pacquiao.

If Pac gets shut down, then he was never a great fighter; he was a good fighter who looked great aginst the right opposition. If Pac dominates Flyd, then, yes. He is a great fighter. He dominated the very best (supposedly) of his era in several weight classes.

But if Floyd dominates Pac, then FMJ is the one who dominated the very best of his era across multiple weight classes.

That is what makes this fight so compelling....and good luck to both guys.

good post i think pacman is a great fighter, but i think its a liitle ridiculous to compare him to robinson ,and ali, steward got waaay ahead of himself on that one and was obviously caught up in the moment,sure pac has beat the top NAMES, but hasnt really beat the top competetion yet,the same applies to floyd, niether guy has faced top guys like williams,mosley,masrgarito, or anyone on that level, so its somewhat a battle between two overhyped guys.mosley or williams beat them both .I havent seen floyd face a top ten fighter since corrales, and pacman since jmm.

Also can the people saying "why don't Floyd sign the contract then" please shut up and stop displaying their complete ignorance. What contract?!? Manny hasn't signed anything either so why is it on Floyd? How is Arum gonna have a contract written up so soon after Manny's fight with Cotto. Do you even understand how business works?

Both teams have had prelim discussions and will discuss and negotiate terms and things before writing up the contract and having both parties sign it. But Pac hasn't and won't be signing a contract that soon and neither will Floyd.

BOTH fighters want this fight and so do the teams and the whole of the boxing community now can we just actually READ articles and discuss what they say as opposed to jumping the gun and cussing fighters about things that don't exist (e.g. Pac/May ducking each other)

i dont know man i thibnk pac has sealed his status as an ATG after winning 7 world titles in 7 different weight classes i mean come on he is the only person to do that and even if he were to win the titles against less than average opposition (which he hasnt) he's won against all the top names out there and keeps doing it in impressive fashion...while floyd has won 6 titles in 5 different weight divisions he hasnt done it in as impressive fashion as pac has but hey IMO theyre both ATG's and will always be seen as that but i just think pac is a little ahead of what PBF has achieved (forget about PPV numbers)

Agree it won't diminish but what if PAC gets outboxed similar to JMM, it will put PBF in another level...

What if PAC KO's and gets the 0 in PBF...it will proove he's the best, and everybody will claim PBF has ducked to mantain that 0...

I think is worst for PBF, because he's had some impressive wins against Corrales, Gatti..etc. in the moment they were, still you don't recognize those as a lot of fans still wanting him to proove if he's for real.

Mayweather's skill is much more exciting than Pac's......Ellerbe is right If Pac gets dominated while he is P4P #1 and in his prime and made to look average can you still say he is Ali?. Pac got outboxed by Marquez twice.....he will have trouble vs Mayweather. Many people are excited over Pac but his last 4 opponents were slow, stationary and had no right hands to keep his southpaw style in check.....but they forgot just last year he was outboxed and outlanded by Marquez.....

Nothing Roach can do can prepare Manny for Mayweather......because Manny has never been in the ring with a fighter anywhere as close to the skill level as Mayweather and thats what the difference will be once he is in front of Mayweather.

Mayweather has fought every style you can think of...I dont belive Manny has ever fought a defensive fighter who doesnt stand directly infront of him.

I think Ellerbe and Mayweather fans are forgetting that Pacquiao has been a completely different figther once he moved up to 135. He is no longer one-dimensional and has found balance in his foot work. Freddie Roach will spend months of video watching all of Floyd's tendancies and Manny will listen and learn from his trainer. If Pacquiao fought Marquez now at 140, he would obliterate him. For those who think this will be a calk-walk for Floyd, I hope you don't put your life savings on the fight cuz it could turn out badly for you.

Manny-Marquez 2 was a year and a half ago....he hasnt gotten better since then..he just hasnt faced and good boxers.....good fighters yes....good boxers NO!
