What contract? A contract hasn't even been drawn up/ What do you know that Arum and Schaefer do not?
I won't get into the "easy fight" part. That is opinion.
But part of what Ellerbe said is true: everybody is saying that Pac is on par with SRR and Ali and Armstrong. That's cool. So, if Floyd beats Pac, that puts Floyd at/above that level.
Yeah, Manny Stewart didn't hold back when comparing Pac to those guys.
All I know is Freddie is working hard devising the perfect plan for Mayweather.
I think Ellerbe and Mayweather fans are forgetting that Pacquiao has been a completely different figther once he moved up to 135. He is no longer one-dimensional and has found balance in his foot work. Freddie Roach will spend months of video watching all of Floyd's tendancies and Manny will listen and learn from his trainer. If Pacquiao fought Marquez now at 140, he would obliterate him. For those who think this will be a calk-walk for Floyd, I hope you don't put your life savings on the fight cuz it could turn out badly for you.
no excuse for not taking 50/50 , and floyd has never got in the ring with a guy close to as good as manny, not even close. cotto would give floyd a good fight. always saying you would easily beat all these guys but you wont fight them, if there so easy, money shouldnt matter that much cuz theres no chance you'll lose right? never fought cotto, margs, mosley, clottey, not one top WW. if they were all easy fights you should have probably just beat them cause people would actually think you are one of the greatest if you did that. Ali and Robinson didnt dodge every tough fight out there, compared to the greats, your a pathetic joke, and you ruin the sport for the true fans , that just want to see the best vs the best. which you havent done since castillo , like 7 years ago. oh and if marquez outboxed pac, which he did, then you got outworked and should have lost to castillo in your first fight.
yea..read my post...its number 3 and I agree with what you said in the bold.
Thanks. You're faster than me.
Top 5 ATG's can lose to good fighters. They can lose to a guy who happens to have the right style antidote. But top 5 ATG's do not get shut down. So, that will be the measuring stick for Pacquiao.
If Pac gets shut down, then he was never a great fighter; he was a good fighter who looked great aginst the right opposition. If Pac dominates Flyd, then, yes. He is a great fighter. He dominated the very best (supposedly) of his era in several weight classes.
But if Floyd dominates Pac, then FMJ is the one who dominated the very best of his era across multiple weight classes.
That is what makes this fight so compelling....and good luck to both guys.
Elllerbe is porbably telling Floyd he can do whatever he wants if he really want to. he is floyds father figure. (except the freaky stuff their doing when the lights turn off)
This is an easier fight for PACMAN than he was with COTTO. PACMAN have trouble only with fighters who press forward and pressure him. MAYWEATHER doesn't pressure nor press forward. PACMAN by KO
Yeah, Manny Stewart didn't hold back when comparing Pac to those guys.

What I heard from Roach was that Floyd was going to lay on the ropes and Manny was going to open up on him. I would advise Roach against that plan.
And in another interview, Roach said "we'll walk right through him". That hasn't seemed to work. Every poster says that Floyd is a b!tch puncher, but once the fighters get hit by him, they don't try to walk through him. In fact, they stop throwing.
There's a reason why every guy who fights Floyd ends up with a low punch output.
Manny will have to take something off his punches in order to be more effective defensively. Floyd is a much sharper puncher than Cotto.
