He just need to be prepared in the rematch not to be hit by the head of Mayol.
By the way does it mean that Mayol has a harder head than Sosa?
sosa lost heart fyting after the headbutt.
he was too worried with the cut, too consious.
mayol capitalise on sosa's hesitation.
Originally posted by hammerhiem View PostYou have to have sympathy for Sosa, he was in control of the fight, the guy smashes him with his head (I'm not convinced it was deliberate) and he never recovered, he was still blinking and spitting out blood when the ref restarted the fight.
there wasn't much blood, some may even be from sosa's nose.
sosa got disoriented with the headbutt.
he was too conscius defending his cut.
he wasn't even himself with his offense.
sosa lost heart.......
was this his first experience to get cut from head butt??

I don't think it was a deliberate headbutt, but you can't just restart the fight after a fighter gets smashed by someone head, you need to let him recover, if he can't NC and come back another day.
Sosa had in no way recovered.

I also find it odd that most referee's have no problem whatsoever giving the "5 minute recovery period" when the foul is a low blow, but they rarely, if ever, give the 5 minutes when the foul is a headbutt.
