Arum is right. PBF dont want to lose his unbeaten record and he would if he fought Pac. Also even if PBF beat Pac, Pac would still be a higher ATG than PBF, for fighting the best over the years and upsetting the odds consistently and impressively time after time.

So the risks are too high for PBF. Sure he will make money. But he can make money fighting lesser people than Pac.

Considering his greatest payday at that point was $30,000 for winning the title then yes he should have taken the fight with Leonard,that was no low offer.





Aaron Pryor wasn't a welterweight and had done nothing to deserve a shot at Leonard and yet Ray offered him his greatest exposure and greatest payday and he turned it down......there really is nothing left to debate here and $2 isn't $500,000 either.

There is plenty to talk about and I tell you why... A fighter who is active would never ever tell you that he wouldn't want a fight. Even back in the days of Jack Johnson the white champions ain't said I don't fight him. They said they would but not for the title. Never ever in history you will have heard a fighter say that I got the best offer I possible could get but hey I don't take the fight... never ever... so if he tells you that it simply means that he had an OFFER (an offer is an offer, even if he would accepted it, it doesn't mean they would have fought) and he obvisiouly thought that he could make a lot more money against Leonard and it was an lowball offer otherwise he wouldn't have even said that. Besides he not only called him out once, he called him out after many fights of his... so something doesn't make sense. Probably he thought that he was worth more, so you can blame it on him or on Leonard who if he really wanted fight, like the one against Hagler, always got what he wanted. This was a fight that he never wanted 100%

I never once said that Leonard was ducking him... that's a word I don't use. I said he never wanted any part of him and I stay to it and that's ok because there are fighters who doesn't bring much money but fighting wise they would be deserving of a shot. I probably not going to convince you or your friend and a) you won't convince me that he wasn't great and b) you def. will never ever convince me that a guy with a style like Pryor's wouldn't have given Leonard problems. Quality pressure fighters gave him troubles and Pryor hand enough handspeed, could punch in bunches for 15 rounds, could create unbelievable angles etc.

Yeah, like I said before at this day it wasn't like you loose a fight and come back and headline again... only if you are a guy like Leonard... And to make 500k it's not very much for a fight against Leonard who make a lot of money. That's why I said it's fighting DLH for 2 Dollars. Thank you for the exposure but for peanuts... and if you guys say he would have lost in 4 rounds *lol* I mean why should have he fought him for peanuts then... because after 4 rounds of destruction like you guys see it he def. never gonna make big money afterwards.

Leonard as well never was a real Middleweight before he fought Hagler... so what has it to say that Pryor had done nothing at Welter. He was a Junior Welter champion so until he had somebody to move up why should he. Back in the days you at least made a good payday as champion. So why should he move at try to get a title match against Leonard, which he never would anyways, and even get less money for that.

And like I said you don't believe me and that's ok I had the honour to speak to Tommy Hearns. He's an class act and what he told me on top with guys who are really involved with boxing everyday (not such a guys like your friend who simply knows boxing and does know if he sees a talent or not) is for me enough to believe my theory. And as long as you don't come up with something that Aaron himself that to the fact that yes, I got the best offer I could and I still refused to fight him even though I called him out numerous times you won't make me change my mind.

But that's ok everybody is entitled to his opinion and as long as there are no insults I have no problem talking to you.

Floyd destroyed an old and fat JMM. Paquiao did so at his weight. You can't even compare. Also, Paquiao just destroyed the guy Floyd ducked before.

Having said that, why did Floyd take on JMM he's not a WW? And Floyd did even comply on the agreed weight of 144. FLoyd could take on any WWs he wants to but instead he fought JMM who is SFW and struggling in LW.

I answered that too... after 2 years of as a reflex fighter you got to see if you still got it... no fighter suffers under that more then a reflex fighter. And Marquez is one of the sharpest boxers out there (on top he engaged in close fight with the Pac-Man who he wanted to fight) and tested his reflexes. If you could beat him at this weight or any other weight is up for grabs.

I don't know exactly why your guys are so in love with the welterweights. No welterweight will beat Floyd. You see it on Manny the more he moves up the more his speed is simply too much... Welterweights are usually not this fast.

Why fought DLH Forbes at 150 pounds. To get him in shape for a fighting style he was expecting. Don't always act like May invents boxing new. After Pacquiao defeated guys like Hatton and DLH everybody was about he was better then Floyd because of that... and if May easily dismantles Marquez you all cry out... do you want to see Mayweather fight Quintana or something???
