After rd 3 it will turn into an easy counter punching fest. Manny is smaller, shorter, his defense is not existent. He lunges in with punches, and he gets frustrated. I can see Mayweather purposely out boxing him from the outside with jabs keeping Manny at a distance. Let's be realistic here, Manny is NOT gonna walk through Floyd...he is the same size as Marquez. Floyd will be the much bigger fighter that night. I think Mayweather could easily fight @154lbs.

Manny will stretch for punches without even knowing his face is wide opened to being countered because he has gotten away with it all this time. Morrales, Marquez showed how a right handed dominant fighter can handle Manny's left and keep him from swarming in. I see Pacquiao wanting to fight and getting hyped up by the crowd and being overly aggressive. Mayweather doesnt play to the crowd and will be fine with boxing to a UD. He is the smarter fighter. No way Manny can outbox Mayweather in the middle of the ring like he did Cotto.

Look how many time Cotto hit Pacquiao....Pac wasnt that fast

What "welterweight" of note or distinction has he beaten in recent years? He fought a faded De La Hoya, who fought once a year and for the first half of that fight he (Mayweather) didn't appear all that dominant.

maybe pre-cotto the win for pbf woulda been down played ... now the way i look at this fight theres no one else in the world that could beat pac except for pbf and vise versa ... this would be a huge win for either fighter and woudl prove who is the best p4p fighter in the world.
        yup. well said.

Just like Floyd said, "Aint nothing cool about taking punishment". Now you have critics suggesting Cotto should retire cuz of all the wars he's been in. And since Floyd out boxes his opponents, he's healthy and not all battered. Remember it's called "boxing", not slugging. You want to see that stuff go watch MMA.

Don't get me wrong, Manny has done an exceptional job with his career. But when you mention Floyd, he's on another level by himself. No one out there, currently can beat him at 147lb. Bottom line.
          It's sure,
he's right, bottom line, people will always respect a guy who fought his heart out.

Cotto and May both fought Judah and beat him with problems.
May vs Elite WW=No easy fight.
He would have fight Quintana,Mosley,Margo loaded,Clottey,Manny instead of Hatton,Gatti,Baldo and an old greedy boy, maybe he would be not so healthy.

"No one out there, currently can beat him at 147lb"
          Williams punish him.
Mosley and Pac have a real puncher chance.
          If Judah can drop Floyd.
          Nobody is unbeatable.

            I respect your opinion..

But ask the world and check the survey. Floyd is a disgrace to boxing and if you think you are smarter than other fans here , you are wrong! Unintelligent>? get a life, you do sound like one dimensional.

I'm assuming you define stature as career accomplishments. Pacquiao has won 7 world titles in as many weight classes. Floyd has won 6 titles in 5 weight classes. Pacquiao has won a vacant title, Floyd never has. When referring to Pac's world titles, one must understand that besides the vacant title, he has won several belts from individuals who were not recognized as the true division champ. Mayweather has won the WBC which most of the time means you are the true champion. So you are right, Pac has won more world titles, the question is: "Has Pacquiao won more recognized belts?" The answer is: No.

LMAORTF! You had to have wars to be a great fighter. That is LITERALLY what he addressed in the interview.

Greatness is measured in a variety ways, one of which is the willingness to seek out and take on challenges. In recent years name the most "challenging" fight Floyd has had(***against a welterweight?)

He was overweight @145lbs?.......................................... .............

                  yeah ok
Yeah genius. There's a difference between walking weight and fighting weight. At 147 Hatton did not have the strength to overpower his opponents and was a lot slower. Use your head, it's not simply a question of making the weight (in this case Hatton at 140) but what weight is your optimal fighting weight. For Hatton it is obviously 140. He never had to drain himself to make 140; he had to work hard to make it because he blew up so much between fights but that's completely different.

If 147 was so much better for Hatton why didn't he move up permanently? In fact, why did he go back down after winning a controversial decision over Collazo? The only reason he went up to 147 was to collect a paycheck seeing as Mr. "I'm not a true welterweight" Mayweather refused to fight him at 140 for some reason.

In the end Hatton was undefeated at his prime weight until Pac destroyed him in 2.

                  Use your head bro.

I don't know what to tell you man. That is one ignorant post you put up there. Both are gifted fighters. And please tell me how PAC's boxing skills are limited? Or do you just repeat what Floyd spews?
