I think with cotto people just believe in a fairy tale. You know I never been a huge fan because twice at 140 I thought he would have lost but used low blows. then the clottey fight was very dodgy from the judges.

I personally thought pac would win and made a lot of money from it but there is no shame in predicting a cotto win. Hell I remember the majority of fans going for a cotto win and now wont admit it.

To attack a poster who went for a cotto win is pathetic, at least they had the guts to make an open predicition. Cotto is a good boxer, whats wrong with backing a good boxer in a fight? Manny was just at a sensational level that night.

pacquiao is truly amazing and if he didn't clear up doubts with the cotto fight... i don't know what will.

these two fighters share similarities that i respect in boxers: warriors (they go out there to really fight), take on everyone! (top competition without ducking fighters), fight wars and are both offensively oriented. that's why i like them so much!!

i was rooting for cotto all the way!! i really thought cotto would kill pacquiao.. honestly, who could've seen what happened coming?? i thought cotto would destroy him in the first 3 rounds actually because i didn't think he could take legit WW punches from a guy like cotto!!

it was just unbelievable and it put all doubts to rest ( i thought ricky hatton wasn't a good measuring for ATG status ). neither de la hoya so that's why i wasn't sold on him yet. i liked him before (due to his fights with marquez and such because marquez is one of my fav fighters) BUT i was not liking the hype specially off of those two fights, you know?

anyway, he gained my respect with his actions and now i have no doubt he is definitely deserving of the status he's got!! also i still love cotto!! he's a true warrior and i bet on him already against foreman!! i believe in you cotto!!!

I remember posting on the forums days and even weeks before the fight took place making predictions.

I often said the following: Pacquiao has more speed, better stamina, better combinations, better technique....Cotto tends to cut easily, fades in the last 2 or 3 rounds of a fight, tends to absorb a lot of power punches BUT and he is going back to the MGM (where he had lost against Margarito).

Add to that, he would be facing someone technically better than Margarito (speed, combination punching, stamina, P4P ranking).

And even on top of all that, I always stated at the end: ...but I believe Cotto will pull off the upset.

In retrospect, I was banking on Pacquiao not being able to take Cotto's punches and Pacquiao not being able to box (which I thought he would do).

I never considered the scenario of Pacquiao being able to cope with the power. I mean, we saw Hatton, but we couldn't really measure how well Pacquiao could deal with 140-pound power (since he knocked Hatton out so quick). Cotto was known to be a better fighter than Hatton, so I picked him.

After that fourth round knockdown, I found myself slowly sinking into agony. Everything that I had stated in Pacquiao's favor was happening: the combination punching, speed overwhelming Cotto, Cotto getting cut, Cotto getting tired...once Cotto lost his power, he was in a gunfight without any guns.

I just didn't understand why people would pick Cotto in this fight I had a never ending list of reasons why Cotto had not chance of winning this fight and I was spot on right... Now this guy picks Cotto and he gets owned... Then he returns with the name "Akyra" lmao and pictures of asians girls in his avi and sig... And now he's a member of Knights Of Aka Pa Ha?... Lmao wow just wow

all my mates were picking manny but honestly they don't know **** about boxing only pacquiao footage they had seen other than the ricky hatton **** was fights i showed them

i wasn't completely convinced of it but i thought cotto would win

i thought if he did it would end early and be brutal i never thought manny would stand up to cotto's punches like that NEVER

his ability to take punishment now is incredible and he's improved his skills alot so he can't just be outboxed like marquez did to him

in a way the morales loss and the marquez fights served manny well in the long run he learned alot from those fights and with roach's help has become a true beast in the ring and is versatile now aswel

i'd still pick mayweather over him though just

i thought he'd crush him with the left hook i know the right hand is an easy shot to land against southpaws but often they (southpaws) don't see the left hook coming because they are looking or expecting the right

Quitto sucks. he gets turned very easily because he's flat footed as **** and doesn't with intensity. roach saw this and knew that pac would be able to come in with lead straight lefts then quickly juke off to cotto's left and cotto's return punches would all miss. it worked beautifully because cotto can't work with angles he only knows how to beat someone that stands in front of him
