3 close fight and you think it is settled, who between the two is better ??? anytime this two guys fight its a toss up, IMHO one must be KTFO to finally settle everything and i think if they face each other again one of them will be KTFO ...

Actualy De La Hoya was pretty ferocious early in his career but since like the Chavez fight he has not done much except beat Quartey and he only barely beat him. But he has good skills obviously, he won the gold medal or whatever in the amateures at the olympics, but I like Barrera and Morales and Chavez, Vargas alot more than him.Last edited by The Troll; 03-31-2005, 12:28 PM.

Its funny how De La Hoya's stock never seems to drop despite the fact he has lost like his last several fights, given they were all top notch opposition. He lost to Sturm, he lost to Hopkins, he lost to Mosely. His last quality win is against Vargas in 2002. But he has essentially lost has last 3 fights. Maybe he should retire.
Jones looses 2 in a row everybody says he should retire
Michalczewski looses 2 last fights everybody says he should retire.
I dont know why De La Hoya is not held to this standard.
If he looses his next fight he should definitely retire.

i'm losing all the respect for barrera for not facing pacman in a remacth barrera needs that rematch badly
besides erik had beaten the 2 fighter that koed barrera badly that to me all by itself is a triumph for erik on their feud
