You have to be an idiot to think that Mosley isn't stronger than Pac. Now add speed to that power. Advantage = Mosley.

      Cotto arguably already "beat" Mosley.

Pac is great, but "there is a reason why we have weight classes".

Cotto has proven himself vs speed. pac has done nothing but beat a "bum" in Hatton and a "zombiefied" Hoya and now thats supposed to mean he's a legit WW at a catchweight of 145? I think not.

Advantage = Cotto and like I have said for a very long time...... Mayweather vs Cotto 2010.
Wess, always good to see you post. Yeah, eventhough I'm not
totally wowed by Cotto over all, I just think he will be too much
for Manny similiar to Floyd>JMM. Cotto's a solid WW and I have
never seen him struggle against a smaller man AND has taken
big punches from larger men so if Pac ain't packing bricks in his
gloves I don't see how Cotto could lose. The only thing about
Cotto is that he can be touched through his defense and Pac
can land big shots but I'm still feeling Cotto can win this. I think
Cotto/Floyd for 2010 too! Just feel like them guys are destined
      to meet in the ring.

Wess, Grustler.....I am glad there is still some people in this website with some sense and not ignorant. Amen to your comments. I am just surprised that your comments havent been backfired by a nuthugger.....I was thinking the same thing, lets see what happens on fight night and the best man will remain standing, if they dont go to decision, which i doubt it.....

            Why Cotto Wins

Everyone has a prediction on why they think what fighter is going to win. My prediction and why is very simple. Here it is:

            1. In the last 3 to 4 fights Cotto has had some nuclear wars with some top notch welter weights. With the execption of the Margo fight he has proven that he can withstand a storm from the BEST WELTERWEIGHTS. And even with the Margo fight, he proved that he can go a long way against a big man with concrete gloves.

            2. Pac's recent fights were lobsided victories against some "no so" top notch fighters. A victory against a slow and obviously weak Dela Hoya and a quick victory against Hatton. And yes, the victory against Hatton was impressive but he didn't put any work in.

            3. Even though I think Pac's speed will bother Cotto a bit, it will not discourage him. For once, Cotto does not have to deal with another strong top notch natural welterweight. Meaning if Cotto can take punishment from the naturally big guys, what make anyone think Pac will go in there and destroy him like many people think. It won't happen.

            4. Since Cotto WILL BE the stronger man in the fight, he will use that to his advantage and pressure Pac. Sure, Pac will land his punches but at what expense? Cotto is no slouch as a boxer either. He's not your typical Latino brawler. He put on boxing shows against the best.

Therefore, if Pac wins this fight it's going to be a squeaker by decision...I don't see it happening. Cotto is young, bigger, stronger and at this very moment, more battle tested. My prediction, Cotto by TKO after Roach throws the towel in the mid to late rounds to protect his friend and best fighter.

Excellent post. These are all very valid points.

Pacquiano still leaves his head open when he throws punches
yeah people are definitely overlooking cotto. i know pac is not mosely or judah but in those fights cotto showed he can nullify speed and cut off the ring. now i predict pac will give him problems in the first 3 or 4 rounds but cotto will adjust and win the fight. yes in many fights speed has been the victor but how often when the opponent can adjust and nullify that speed.
