    no my man.

    1999 was not good timing.

floyd won his first belt ever end of 1998. mosley moved to 147 a few months later in 1999.

all this floyd ducked mosley/mosley ducked floyd is nonsense.

yes they could have fought each other but the timing was a bit off.

they were either in different divisions and when they were in close divisions the fight didn't make sense careerwise/financial wise for either.

Truth is the man doesn't care about the sport or his legacy and treats the sport as a business and that's the way it is. He will give us one more bull**** fight against Bradley and I think that will be the last time he collects a big check from boxing. I used to have some love for Floyd, just like RA but I realized the dude is a chump. One thing a man does is test himself and test himself Floyd has not. I can no longer respect the guy.
Floyd has tested himself IMO at 130-140...but these fights at 147 can strengthen his resume...

And anyone would get defensive when you try and destroy there resume one by one...

lbsonuh, shane would be the biggest money fight right now. in succession to that, if floyd could beat ssm, he would then get the next biggest draw, the winner of pac cotto.

that makes would make floyd the most money, but you fail to recognize what floyd cares about more than that, his record.[/i]
No. The biggest money fight is Pacman vs Mayweather.

Umm Shane's dad said in 1999 he wanted 10 million to fight Floyd, thats a fact. That was a fight many wanted to see but Shane wouldnt do it. They were even on the Ring cover.

              Oasis,

In 2 Summer 2006, Shane had just KO'd vargas. He had NO FIGHT on his docket.

Floyd needed a fight. HBO had the table set. HBO was on board. Floyd was ready.

Why was the timing bad? Please help me understand.

Shane's next fight? At an empty Mandalay Bay for $1.8 million vs Collazo.

That's fine but ATG's don't stop testing themselves once they hit age 27, they continue on. If Floyds happy with what he did 5-10 years ago that's fine but don't go parading yourself out there, running your mouth like your the **** because you're not. You're not fighting the best so stop saying you are P4P the best fighter in the world. Fade in the back drop and fight your catchweights but stop yapping about how your the **** and making excuses as to why you can't fight so and so. If you want to be looked at as the best right now, you have to fight the best, and if you don't be ready to be called out on it.

No one can blame Floyd, he just said it "legacy don't pay the bill" he doesn't care about his legacy so we shouldn't bother anymore.

Not only that... but who was the scariest lightweight in the world at that time? Shane Mosley...right?

Floyd offered Shane the fight at 137. Mayweather was gonna jump a division and a half (130 to 137) to fight Shane.

Remember... I'm a bit older than many of you. I remember this stuff.
