He still has some time left to achieve more so we will see, but I doubt he could do enough to be on that level anyways, the depth of quality opposition would need to be much greater.

Those kind of expectation are just to much for any man to succeed in reaching, sure it can happen but to expect someone to reach those guys to me is asking to much no matter the talent of the man.

I hope people get to see what they want with his comeback though, I want to see how the story ends either way though I have been following him this long (since the Olympics) no reason to just stop watching.
You're right. Being The Greatest or The Best Ever is a huge accomplishment, based on majority consensus or perspective.

I think he's great too and can compete and beat the current crop of top fighters. I also think it's still too early to judge him since it's the end of the year and the next year looks promising.

One thing is certain. He didn't come up fighting strictly tomato cans. He has proved his mettle to a certain point, and he has the potential to accomplish greater things in the sport.

He deserved the benefit of the doubt to leave the sport to recuperate and heal.

It remains to be seen what his intentions really are while he's back, in prime, and on top.

that was an interview with a hip-hop station right?

he was probably expecting another promotional affair where he just goes on , gets his name out to the mainstream. not some guy calling him out on boxing issues.
Yeah, the guy sounded like he wanted to sound off on Floyd for a while. It;s like if he wanted to vent out or something. But over the past few years Floyd has been getting that a lot especially from Kenny and most recently Mosley in the ring so I think he's used to it now.

kenny was NOT venting on floyd my man.

        this guy was. kenny wasn't.

kenny acted very professional with floyd. it just doesn't seem like it because floyd overreacts to questions.

this guy however had a beef with floyd about his resume/fights though. kenny to me was just asking questions a lot of boxing fans ask. as a sports reporter it's his job to ask them.

Only recently has Kenny acted respectfully and thats only because Floyd shut everybody up by doing a million buys with Marquez of all people, until then Kenny was as reckless as this guy, tripping over his words.

All I gotta say is that its about damn time people gave it straight to Floyd. I think every boxing fan has been wanting to say this for a long time.

like i said , listen to it again. when floyd mentions marquez , there's a part where he says he whooped marquez and pacquiao couldn't do that. i'm thinking that's what the guy was referring to. pacquiao-marquez was 130. mayweather-marquez was 147 so 17 lbs.

i never said mayweather called out mosley after the forrest losses. he did. i don't even remember when mayweather wanted to fight mosley.

but in 2006 mosley was on the slide. mosley loss twice to winky.
everyone thought mosley was washed up.
Mosley lost to Winky Wright in 2004, not 2006. Since losing To Winky he's 7-1 with the lone loss still debated by a lot of boxing fans as a draw against Cotto.

"i don't even remember when mayweather wanted to fight mosley."

Mosley turned him down because of a toothache.

You said Floyd got ambushed in that radio show and I agreed and said "yeah the guy sounded......etc."

                  Then I mentioned Kenny afterward.

                    no.

                    i've seen the old interviews.

                    kenny's questions were legitimate.

if floyd just answered calmly , it wouldn't have even been an issue.

last interviews with kenny looked differently not because of kenny but because of floyd. floyd didn't get excited. when he gets excited , **** looks confrontational even when it's not.

floyd has very low comprehension and deductive reasoning.

And Floyd gets very heated when confronted with certain questions.
I think he can be more diplomatic, as he can be, and just handle those volleys like a true champ, without having to get all riled up.

                      .
In all fairness, RA threw the aggressive vibe at Floyd first. And then he acted like Floyd was unreasonable when Floyd became (predictably) heated.

Guys, remember.... you would be incredibly passionate and defensive about the thing that made you millions of dollars. That is why you see so many athletes spiral into anger when confronted.
