So is their a False Welterweight?

      Dude, read carefully.

Your argument is based of some kind false reality..
What determines a true welterweight and a false one?
      FANS?

      Here is the reality,

By definition in boxing, a welterweight fight is a fight that is contracted between the weight of 141-147 pounds. A welterweight Fighter is the fighter who makes that weight before fight time.

      Do you understand?

if P-Will could make it between 141-147 he is considered welterweight.
if JMM could make it between 141-147 he is considered welterweight.

Their is no difference is the title. Their both welterweights.

      Classic contradiction argument:
If your Argument is that Paul Williams would come down to fight Mayweather and that would make it ok...

Than the premise is that if Paul Williams can make 147, then he is a Welterweight..... BUT WAIT!!!!

If you believe that all a fighter has to do is make it in between the welterweight limit to become a welterweight....

Than What is the problem with Mayweather fighting Marquez at welterweight if you believe that all a fighter has to do is make is make it in between the welterweight limit to become a welterweight?

Anyway you look at it, your arugment would have a contradiction, unless you give Mayweather full credit for beating Marquez and didnt have a problem
with the fight.. Than you can fairly and contradiciton free make the claim that you would like to see Mayweather fight Paul Williams at welterweight!!!
why the **** doesnt mayweather just then fight williams at 154...THE HALF WAY POINT.. if it was good for dlh im sure it can be good for williams...

mayweather came in two pounds over the contracted limit... thats why he dont get credit for beating marquez at "welterweight" he couldnt even do that process fairly...

paul williams at the very least gives mayweather his toughest fight at 147 or 154 ..... who wins or loses is anybodies guess but it is as even a fight as it can get which is saying alot considiering mayweater is considered top 3 lb or lb

And, i think that fight could of sold more than 400k+. Which IMO Floyd would get more than 10mil. That is where I coming from...

I know if he would of stayed with Top Rank he was not going to get the Oscar fight. So in the long run Floyd made way more...
There was no PPV upside in that fight. Floyd made $8 million and change (minus the $750k Top Rank payoff) and Baldomir made something like $1.75 million. The live gate wasn't particularly impressive, and there was little to no profit to speak of that came from the fight.

In fact, Goossen got ****ed in that fight. He agreed to carry Floyd knowing the fight wouldn't generate a lot of money or interest, but still did so under the belief that he'd be involved in Floyd's future (particularly the DLH fight). His fault I guess for not forcing Floyd to put ink to paper, which is not the best way to approach a long term plan.

Of course not, but where was he wrong in that interview? That guy didnt present anything different than whats been said on this forum a million times and also debunked a million and one times. What part of the interview did he school or own Floyd? He actually contradicted himself a number of times.

Thanks for the info... I was in the belief that Floyd made more from the PPV... I stand corrected.

                1. crying about how being undefeated is such a great honor ... it was funny when he brought up wack ass brian neilson 49-0 record as well as id be "15-0 " if i fought all girls line....

                2. when floyd brought up ray leonard.... shut down

                3. when floyd keeps crying about shane and his steriods as if that matters right now

                4. floyd getting shut down when he tries to rationalize his safety first attitude by saying that thats how he makes the most money/pays the bills and thats whats really important to RA reply of "your already rich"

                5. floyd getting nervous and throwing out zab as the best rep of new york and RA comming back with he just lost to baldomir so what was the point of fighting him lol

im sure there are acouple of more... straight comedy....

A fighter who does not belong at a certaing weightclass. For example JMM did not belong in the WW division. Not a true WW. Floyd does not belong at the MW division. Floyd is not a true MW. Do you understand now or no?
