Dawson Would Love To Replace Taylor in The Super Six

Light heavyweight king Chad Dawson would love to get involved with Showtime’s Super Six tournament. There is still a big question mark on Jermain Taylor. After suffering a crushing knockout loss to Arthur Abraham on October 17, there has been a lot of talk that Taylor might drop out. Dawson has a rematch with Glen Johnson on November 7. If he beats Johnson, and Taylor drops out, Dawson would love a shot to win the tournament. [details]

Great news. Dawson would win it if he were in it.

No way HBO lets Dawson go if he beats Johnson. This is just a negotiating ploy by Team Dawson. An undefeated light heavyweight American can be a big cash cow for HBO.

On the other hand, Dawson in the Super Six would be amazing. He'd automatically be the favorite even though he'd have one less fight than the others.

Probably won't happen but would be great if it does.

The one negative I can see about this is that it would be anti-climactic in the sense that Dawson would fight Kessler in the Final Round Robin Match and it would essentially be the "Final" before the "Final" actually happened.

It'd also be a real ***** for Andre Ward who would have to go from fighting Kessler to Dawson, two guys who arguably belong on the top-10 p4p lists.

F*****g BADASS. I hope he's not just talking out the side of his mouth here and he would actually do this. He's the new favorite if he enters in for me.

Ah, who am I kidding it won't happen.
