I'm pretty sure he's facing Martinez next.

But I have a question for you: What have Martinez & Clottey done to deserve a shot at a two division champ with names like Wright and Margarito on his ledger?

It's weird how Paul can't get the names he wants but people question his opposition.

Williams has earned his stripes, he has some quaility Ws. He needs to keep adding scalps to his dossier and he will not longer be able to be avoided I agree, but I really don't get why he should not be looking for the biggest possible fights?

Worthy of what? being able to get any fight he wants? He was able to do so because he not only beat all of those guys he faced, but either dominated them, made them look silly, or KO'd them. That establish Floyd as the elite fighter he is today because there was some time of proof of his dominance. With Paul it's always...If he faced such and such then he would dominate them. The same can be said about Floyd to an extent, but we have atleast seen him do it in the ring against quality opposition.

I know Paul can do the same but all Im saying is he needs to atleast prove it. He needs to go out and dominate a few guys then he can get the bigger fights that he wants.

BTW he got Pavlik because Pavlik has no other good options.

cintron has called him out many times and doesnt like him...pwill just thinks for some dumbass reason that hes a superstar kirkland called him out and pwill said he doesnt have a fan base big enough...pwill isnt avoided he just said it enough times to make people believe it...he is sooo overrated and would get his ass kicked by pavlik martinez cintron quintana again clottey and others i just dont want to right down

btw beating him does nothing for your career when quintana outboxed him every one said pwill was exposed and was no good and he made excuses like a ***** **** paul williams

He calls out all these other big name boxers, and when they don't want to fight him, he considers them "ducking" him. I just feel he forgets that these boxers have earned their status by building their resume with quality opponents.

Floyd, Manny, Cotto, Mosley and other big name boxers had to go through quality opposition before the stars actually responded to their request for a fight with them. I guess Paul thinks he is above this.

Before Floyd got Oscar...he had to go through Corrales, Castillo, Gatti, Judah and other mid-level/ top contenders to atleast establish a name for himself. Same with Cotto and others.

I like Paul, but outside of Margarito who has he beaten? These are all quality guys that could help build his resume and better help his chances of landing a big fight. In fact all of these guys are more than willing to fight him.

                  Guys like:
                  Joshua Clottey
                  Sergio Martinez
                  Corey Spinks
                  Daniel Santos
                  Kermit Cintron
                  Felix Sturm @160

Not only do I think he beats those guys...but If he dominates them like I think he does, then he will get just about any big fight he wants.
He is the most feared fighter in boxing history.

he wants a money fight without all that pesky resume building. Cant you see how good he is! What better way to prove it than fighting the best most famous top fighters on PPV? Duh.

You seem to have a lot of venom towards Paul. Was it the sister or your mom?

Anyway, Cintron has skipped out on two fights against Paul. So whether he doesn't like him or "calls him out" (what immature fans claim is proof of non-ducking), his team certainly didn't act that way at the negotiating table.

He should had stayed at 147 and climb up the ladder for another title. The problem sometimes is that fighters get titles for beating a no name boxer.
If Williams stayed around he would eventually had to face a champion, but its fighters like Mayweather that relinquish their titles just to hide from the the toughest opposition that effects the sport. Guys like mayweather like to beat nobodies for titles and then move up in weight. thats why Paul Williams moved up. when Cotto lost, Maragrito got caught and Mayweather retired their wasn't big names out there. He should've stayed to fight Mosley, but he didn't care at the time. He moved up because he wasn't patient enough. Its his fault.
